La Llorona
Written by Luis Mars
Performed by Lila Downs. Anachronisms: 1. Early in her New York trip Frida is watching 1933's King Kong. Later she is called home to tend to her dying mother. Several scenes later we see her at her mother's grave and it shows that she died in 1932, a year before King Kong was released. 2. In a scene taking place in 1933 Rivera mentions Happy Rockefeller, Nelson Rockefeller's wife. In reality, in 1933 Happy was only 7, and wasn't named "Rockefeller" yet. She and Nelson got married 30 years later, in 1963. 3. One of Cristina Kahlo's sons wears disposable diapers. 4. One scene shows people on the streets singing revolutionary songs. The song chosen is "el pueblo unido jamas sera vencido". This song was composed around 1973 by Chilean composer Sergio Ortega. 5. In 1922 Frida is sitting in a modern wheelchair painting Cristina's portrait.

After You're Gone
Arranged and Produced by Jay Weigel
Performed by Joshua Gouzy, Matt Rhody and Russell Welch. Anachronisms: 1. During the movie, "FBI" is used by characters and seen on the underside of a plane. The events of the movie took place from early Feb to May 23 in 1934. The Bureau of Investigation (BOI or BI for short) did not change it's name to the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) until 1935. 2. When Hamer is purchasing weapons in a gun store, a shot showing the inside of the firearms catalogue he is holding clearly shows a German Gewehr 43 semi-automatic rifle at the top of the page, labelled a "G-43." The Gewehr 43 was developed and first manufactured during World War II in 1943, almost a full decade after the pursuit and killing of Bonnie and Clyde in 1934, so it could not have appeared in an American interwar firearms catalogue at the time. 3. When the Patrolmen are gunned down and Hamer picks up the 20 gauge shell, they are plastic not paper, which would have been used at the time. 4. When Maney turns the car radio on, it starts playing immediately. In the 1930s, radios used vacuum tubes, which must warm up for a few seconds before they will function; hence, the sound would not start instantaneously. 5. When Hamer picks up the 20 gauge shot gun shell on the roadside, it is yellow. 20 gauge shells did not become that color until the 1960's. 6. The thug at the bar threatens Maney Gault with an Italian stiletto style switchblade, a knife style that did not appear in the United States until American servicemen stationed in Italy brought them home after WWII. Inexpensive switchblades were widely available in the United States in the 1930s, as modern legal restrictions on these knives were yet to be enacted, but most looked quite different from the one in the film. 7. In a shot looking upwards at Hamer during the bottle-shooting sequence, contrails can be seen. Airplanes capable of flying high enough to create contrails were extremely rare in 1934 and the few that existed were unlikely to be flying over central Texas. 8. At 37 minutes and 20 seconds, when Frank Hamer says "You ever hunt wild horses, Bill?", there is a barely audible Samsung notification sound in the background. 9. Near the beginning of the film, a close-up of a wheel on a red car reveals the tire brand name of "National". Specifically the "Commando" tire. This tire company didn't exist until the 1950's, while the film is set in the 1930's. 10. One of the agents, when at the patrolmen killings, tells Frank that he should be careful because "this is an active crime scene". This is a modern phrase, unlikely to have been used in 1934. 11. When examining the crime scene where the 2 motorcycle cops were killed, they were making casts of footprints by pouring plaster from a modern high density polyethylene plastic bucket. HDPE wasn't invented until 1935, and wasn't used for such commercial products as buckets until many, many years later. 12. In some of the stakeout scenes, Hamer appears to be eating pistachio nuts, the tan shells piling up outside the car. Pistachios were available in the U.S. in the '30s, usually in penny gumball-type vending machines, but they were nearly always dyed red to mask imperfections. Undyed pistachios weren't common in this country until domestic production took off in the late '70s. 13. When Hamer picks up the newspaper that boasts the headline "Clyde sends letter to Henry Ford 'You Make a Dandy Car'", the date of the newspaper reads January. However, Clyde did not write this letter until April 10th, 1934.

Performed by Tristan Beltrami. Anachronisms: 1. At the very beginning of the film which says late 1970s, a $5 bill is removed from a wallet that's from a banknote series started in the 2000s. 2. The movie starts off in 1969, and Ted Bundy is supposed to be driving a 1968 VW Standard Beetle. However the VW that Bundy drives in the movie is 1973 (or later) Super Beetle. You can tell due to the curved windshield and wide trunk hood which only came on those model years.

Anachronisms: 1. In 1997, present-day vehicles are visible outside the floor shop with Lockhart and her daughter. The same thing happens at the cemetery. 2. At the 52 minute mark there is a sweeping shot of the 1997 Philadelphia skyline that includes the Comcast Center building which wasn't built until 2008. 3. The scene is set in 1988, but there is a police chase scene around 22:27 with Crown Victorias that weren't made until the 1990s.

Sung by the Parishioners in Church. Trivia: This was the first movie ever spoofed by "MAD Magazine" (in its ninth issue). It can be found in the paperback "The Bedside MAD." Reader response was so positive, movie satires became a regular staple, following up with a parody of Shane (1953) in the tenth issue. Anachronisms
In a number of scenes there are Pabst Brewing signs seen on the inside and outside walls of the saloon. Although Pabst did brew in 1848, it did so under the name Best and Company and did not change to Pabst until 1889; the 37-star flag suggests the setting dates are between 1867-77.

Although the 37-star flag suggests the setting date is within the 1867-77 frame, the date on the large boarding house at the end of the street as Amy and Helen are taking the buckboard out of town is "1888".

The pre-gummed rectangular envelope that Kane puts his folded Last Will and Testament into was not the type used in the 1867-77 era that the 37-starred US flag suggests and was not made until about the 1890s. Envelopes in that era were diamond-shaped with the user having to provide the sealant (wax, for example).

In the climactic crane shot when Kane is alone in the town square, modern-day buildings, high-voltage power lines, and telephone poles are clearly visible in the skyline.

Just after Kane leaves the barber shop and walks up the street, sunlight can briefly be seen reflecting off cars passing by the set in the distant background. It is reportedly more noticeable in the theatrical release than on TV screens.

As Judge Mettrick rides away you can see the top of a nearby soundstage in the distance. As Amy and Helen are driving out of town, Helen looks back at Kane. High in the background you can see another, even more massive, soundstage in the background.

In the high crane shot shortly before the gunfight begins you can see modern industrial buildings in the distance, which are located on what is now Interstate 5. Just beyond the studio lot you can see a number of private homes.

Although the film is set in the 1870s, the wedding dress worn by Grace Kelly clearly had a zipper up the back. The zipper did not go into production until the 20th century.

In the church scene, the front wall behind the pulpit is illuminated with wall-mounted candelabras, each one holding what appears to be lighted candles. The church scene is an extended scene, but throughout the scene, none of the candles' flames flicker, waver or smoke, as would be typical of real candles. These are obviously electric candles with electrically-powered bulbs, but judging by the setting and time period, it's clear that the story takes place before modern electricity.
Anachronisms
In the climactic gunfight, after Kane has shot Ben Miller, we see Kane running between buildings into a back alley area off the main street of town. He stops by a tree and looks back to see if he is being pursued. As he sets off again, we see the back of a brick building with an air conditioning unit mounted on the outside of a second-story window. It might not be widely known, but many of the buildings used for permanent sets doubled as production offices. This was one of them.

I Want to Be a Cowboy's Sweetheart
Written by Patsy Montana
Performed by Patsy Montana & The Prairie Ramblers. Trivia: 1. The movie was filmed in Del Rio, Eagle Pass and Laredo, Texas. 2. The movie playing at the drive-in that young Sam and young Pilar attend is Black Mama White Mama (1973), an in-joke reference to Pilar's mixed parentage. Quote: Wesley Birdsong: This stretch of road runs between nowhere and not much else. Anachronism: Sheriff Charlie Wade is armed with a Colt 'New Frontier' revolver, first introduced in 1961 by Colt as an updated version of the old Colt 'Peacemaker'. The events in the film take place in 1957 and 1958.

Robert Portal as Michael Rose
John Ramm as Tony Crabb
Jeff Szusterman as Male Translator
Jared Turner as Tommy Palmer. Netflix, January 27, 2020. Soundtrack: Music by Lachlan Anderson, composer, and David Long. Anachronisms: 1. Some of the weapons carried by the SAS team have parts that were developed much later than the 1980 period, e.g. lowers developed for US navy in '86 and F style stocks that were part of the 2000 update. 2. The embassy was taken on the 30th April 1980. When the terrorists first enter there is a B11 series, Nissan Sunny 1.5 SGL Wagon parked outside (TNN 998W) - however the W registration letter was not issued until 1st August 1980. Furthermore, in 1980 Nissan cars were still branded and marketed as Datsun, not Nissan. The Nissan Sunny B11 series cars were only introduced after late 1981. 3. The scene where the chief inspector Max Vernon walks up to the siege you can clearly see a Ford Escort Police Vehicle (Reg YPA 629Y). Y reg cars didn't come out until 1982 but this siege was in April 1980. 4. In 1980 the SAS were still based at Bradbury Lines, Hereford not at RAF Hereford as indicated at the start of the film.

Simon Russell Beale as David Ben-Gurion. Netflix, January 28, 2020. Music by Alexandre Desplat. Soundtrack: “Ihr Kinderlein Kommet” - Performed by The Vienna Boys Choir; “Shocked” - Performed by Frank Skinner; “Where Have All The Flowers Gone” - Performed by The Gesher Hayarkan Trio; “El Choclo” - Written by Angel Villoldo; “Tango Forever” - Written by Bruno Bertoli; “Thieves Tango” - Written by Francois Elie Roulin; “Buenos Aires" - Performed by Carlos Gardel; “An Die Musik, Op. 88, No. 4, D. 547” - Written by Franz Schubert, Performed by Daniel Behle and Sveinung Bjelland. Anachronisms: 1. In the first 15 minutes, there is a gathering of Nazi fans in Buenos Aires. One of them claims to be on the 150th anniversary year of Argentina independence. However, 1960, the year the movie is set, it was the anniversary of the Revolution of 1810, and not the Independence anniversary (1816). 2. The Israeli soldier sitting in the cafe, prior to Peter meeting his mother, is wearing bright khaki colored uniform that has been phased out during the 50's in favor of olive colored uniform (excluding Air Force and Navy). Considering he is a Private ca. 1959, he would not have had the older style uniform. In addition, the unit tag on the soldier's left shoulder, while it might not even have existed in the 50's, is of a style that was only in use since the 70's (synthetic rather than cloth). 3. In an early scene at a beach-side cafe, the song "Where Have All the Flowers Gone" is heard being sung in Hebrew translation by the Gesher haYarkon Trio. The group wasn't formed until 1964. 4. The Braniff International logo shown during the travel montage on the ticket jacket, was not introduced until 1965 though the film takes place 5 years earlier. 5. German passports prior to the late 1970s use metal rivets to attach the photo to the passport as to prevent the counterfeit and tampering. They are difficult to remove without causing some damages to the paper. Every attached photo is always stamped half on the side with other half on the passport paper as to prevent tampering. 6. The station wagon used was a Willys Overland mid 50's model but the black outside mirrors were marketed in the late 70's early 80's as replacement mirrors for Ford, Chevy, Dodge trucks and vans. Normally these Jeep wagons would only have a little round spot mirror and only on the drivers side.

Trivia: Dr. Lutz Heck experiments in recreating the extinct aurochs as a symbol of the Reich, through cross-breeding of various modern breeds which he thought had parts of the original genetic heritage. Anachronism: At 39 min when the pigs are arriving at the zoo, behind the actors you can clearly see a truck made in the 2000's.

In a flashback to 2010, Nick Dunne is shown playing Battlefield 3, which was released a year later. 2. The story takes place in 2012, but when the police are removing things from the woodshed behind Margo's house they reference a Taylormade golf club that Nick supposedly owned. This style of club was not released until late 2013.
