Storyline: A drama centered on the relationship between Phil Spector and defense attorney Linda Kenney Baden while the music business legend was on trial for the murder of Lana Clarkson. Trivia: 1. HBO film written and directed by David Mamet and starring Al Pacino and Dame Helen Mirren, depicting a fictionalized account of the murder and trials. The film drew criticism both from Clarkson's family and friends, who charged that the suicide defense was given more merit than it deserved; and from Spector's wife, who argued that Spector was portrayed as a "foul-mouthed megalomaniac" and a "minotaur". Phil Spector is a biographical television film directed and written by David Mamet. The film is based on the life of record producer, songwriter and musician Phil Spector was released by HBO Films on March 24, 2013 in United States. It stars Al Pacino as Phil Spector, Helen Mirren as defense attorney Linda Kenney Baden, and Jeffrey Tambor as Bruce Cutler. It focuses primarily on the relationship between Phil Spector and Linda Kenney Baden. The film opens with an unusual disclaimer from HBO, stating the film to be fiction, and not based on real events. 2. The film was originally supposed to star Bette Midler as Linda, but Midler left the project after suffering a back injury and had to be carried off the set. Helen Mirren replaced Bette Midler. Midler was forced to bow out of the project after suffering a herniated disc. 3. The film revolves around the murder of Lana Clarkson. Clarkson appeared in Scarface together with Al Pacino, who plays Phil Spector in this film. 4. First trial: Spector remained free on $1 million bail while awaiting trial, which began on March 19, 2007. On September 26, 2007, Judge Fidler declared a mistrial because of a hung jury (10 to 2 for conviction). Before and during the first trial, Spector went through at least three sets of attorneys. Defense attorney Robert Shapiro represented Spector at the arraignment and early pretrial hearings and achieved his release on $1 million bail. Bruce Cutler represented him during the 2007 trial, but withdrew on August 27, 2007, claiming "a difference of opinion between Mr. Spector and me on strategy". Attorney Linda Kenney Baden then became lead lawyer for closing arguments. Second trial: The retrial of Spector for murder in the second degree began on October 20, 2008, with Judge Fidler again presiding; this time it was not televised. The case went to the jury on March 26, 2009, and nineteen days later, on April 13, the jury returned a guilty verdict. In addition, he was found guilty of using a firearm in the commission of a crime. Spector was immediately taken into custody and was formally sentenced on May 29, 2009, to 19 years to life in the California state prison system. End Title Cards: 1. On September 26th the Jury reported itself dead-locked, ten to two in favour of conviction, and incapable of reaching a decision. The Judge declared a mistrial. 2. On October 3rd, the Prosecution announced that they would retry the case. 3. Due to her illness, Linda Kenney Baden was unable to participate in the second trial, whose jury, on April 13th, 2009 found Phil Spector guilty of Second Degree Murder and sentenced him to nineteen years to life in California State Prison, Corcoran where he resides today. Quotes: 1. Phil Spector: "I invented the music business." 2. Bruce Cutler: "She shot herself." Linda Kenney Baden: "You bet she did!" Bruce Cutler: "Why?" Linda Kenney Baden: "Not our problem anymore."

Set in the near future, it focuses on Frank, an aging jewel thief played by Frank Langella, whose son buys him a domestic robot. Resistant at first, Frank warms up to the robot when he realizes he can use it to restart his career as a cat burglar. 2. It was the first feature film for both Ford and Schreier and received critical acclaim for its writing, production, and acting. It won the Alfred P. Sloan Prize at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival, tying with the Kashmiri film Valley of Saints. 3. The film was shot in 20 days on a budget of 2.5 million dollars. Filming took place in the summer in upstate New York, in Pearl River, New York and Rye, New York. 4. According to Schreier, the heat caused the person inside of the robot suit, dancer Rachael Ma, so much discomfort that she had to be replaced with another actor for two days of filming. Though Ma was initially tasked with providing Langella with the robot's lines, it became impossible for her to perform both the physical acting and lines simultaneously, and the task was given to Langella's nephew, who was a production assistant on the set. 5. The vehicle that passes Frank when he is walking down the road is an available production car, a Tango by Commuter Cars. 6. Throughout the entire film, not once is a name for the robot spoken. 7. The film reunites Frank Langella with James Marsden after Superman Returns. In the Bryan Singer's movie they too played father and son (Perry and Richard White). Quotes: 1. Robot: "Hello, Frank. Trivia: 1. It is an American computer-animated 3D musical fantasy comedy film based on Dr. Seuss' children's book of the same name. It was produced by Illumination Entertainment and was released by Universal Pictures on March 2, 2012, the 108th birthday of Dr. Seuss. It is the second adaptation of the book, following the 1972 animated musical television special. It builds on the book by expanding the story of Ted, the previously unnamed boy who visits the Once-ler. 2. The cast includes Zac Efron as Ted, Danny DeVito as the Lorax, and Ed Helms as the Once-ler. New characters introduced in the film are Audrey, who is voiced by Taylor Swift, Aloysius O'Hare, voiced by Rob Riggle, and Grammy Norma, voiced by Betty White. The film was a box office success, although it received mixed reviews. The characters of Ted and Audrey are named after Dr. Seuss (whose real name was Theodor Seuss Geisel) and his second wife Audrey Geisel. Danny DeVito reprised the voice of The Lorax for the Spanish, Russian, Italian and German dubbed versions. 3. This is the first film to feature Universal's 100th Anniversary logo. 4. Unlike the original book, the Once-ler is shown fully in the story as a human. Executive producer Christopher Meledandri said of the change, "The minute you make the Once-ler a monster, you allow the audience to interpret that the problem is caused by somebody who is different from me, and it ceases to be a story that is about all of us. Then it's a story about, 'Oh I see, the person who led us into the predicament is not a person. It's somebody very, very different.' And so it takes you off the hook." 5. Argentinian film producer Axel Kuschevatzky dubbed Mr. O'Hare on the Latin American Spanish speaking prints of the movie. 6. Ed Helms voices both the young and old versions of the Onceler. When the Once-ler is walking to his office once he became rich, what appears to be a blow-up magazine cover is hanging on the wall. It is caption "Too big to fail", which is an colloquial term in economics to define an institution whose failure would bring catastrophic consequences to the economy. After the 2009 banking collapse, modern economists have said that institutions too big to fail are simply too big to exist. 7. The original name of the town in the movie is Greenville (as can be seen in the scene where the Once-ler is selling his thneeds in the town center, "Greenville Circle") before the commercial success of the product changed the name to Thneedville. 8. The soundtrack reflects the natural versus man-made nature of the scene. For example, the opening song "Thneedville" describes the thoroughly artificial town with completely electronic music. Meanwhile, the finale "Let It Grow" and the planting of an all-natural tree is made with almost all acoustic instruments. "Let It Grow" even includes a capella choral music, i.e. with no man-made instruments at all. Quote: Once-ler: "Unless someone like you cares an awful lot, things aren't going to get better. They're not."

When the hotel is unexpectedly visited by an ordinary 21-year-old traveler named Jonathan, Dracula must protect Mavis from falling in love with him before it is too late. 3. The film was released on September 28, 2012 by Columbia Pictures. It was met with mixed critical reception, while the general population received it very favorably. The film was nominated for a Golden Globe Award for Best Animated Feature Film. A sequel, titled Hotel Transylvania 2, is scheduled to be released in theaters on September 25, 2015. 4. Among the decorations on the wall of Mavis' room is a poster that very clearly resembles her real life voice, Selena Gomez. Several characters resemble the actors who provide the voices. 5. The second animated feature film for Adam Sandler (the first being Eight Crazy Nights). 6. The license plate on Dracula's hearse is Romanian. This is correct, as Transylvania is now part of Romania. Sighisoara is also known as the birthplace of Vlad the Impaler, the real Count Dracula. 7. At the end of the movie, at Mavis's birthday party, the label on the record on the turntable reads "Oh! who said so - Sung by - Mr. Charles Penrose". This was a real pre-WWI record. Quotes: 1. The film, which is the eighth and final instalment in the Harry Potter film series, was written by Steve Kloves and produced by David Heyman, David Barron, and Rowling. 2. The story continues to follow Harry Potter's quest to find and destroy Lord Voldemort's Horcruxes. The film stars Daniel Radcliffe as Harry Potter, alongside Rupert Grint and Emma Watson as Harry's best friends, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger. Principal photography began on February 19, 2009, and was completed on June 12, 2010, with reshoots taking place in December 2010, marking the series' closure of ten years of filming. Part 2 was released in 2D, 3-D and IMAX cinemas worldwide from July 13 to 15, 2011, and is the only Harry Potter film to be released in 3-D. 3. Most of the events in this film - from the raid on Gringotts to the Battle of Hogwarts - take place over the course of a single day. 4. Alan Rickman, Bonnie Wright, Devon Murray, Emma Watson, Daniel Radcliffe, Geraldine Somerville, James Phelps, Oliver Phelps, Matthew Lewis, Robbie Coltrane, Rupert Grint, Tom Felton, Josh Herdman and Warwick Davis (as Prof. Flitwick and/or Griphook the Goblin) are the only actors to have appeared in all eight movies. 5. 210,000 coins were made for the scene inside the vault at Gringotts. In total, Daniel Radcliffe went through 160 pairs of prop glasses by the end of the series. Daniel Radcliffe reportedly broke 80 wands throughout the series because he used them as drumsticks. Every wand seen in any film in the franchise was created on-site. Taking the lead from descriptions in the books, each wand was 13-15 inches long and created specifically for each character. No two wands were alike. Harry's lightning bolt scar was applied by make-up teams approximately 5,800 times by the end of the series. Daniel Radcliffe had the scar applied 2,000 times while the rest were applied to stunt doubles and stand-ins. 6. This movie, the last in the 'Harry Potter' franchise, has the equal highest number of Academy Award nominations by a 'Harry Potter' movie totaling to three. The other series entry to do this was the first film in the franchise, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. This is the only 'Harry Potter' movie to be Oscar nominated for the Best Make-Up Academy Award. 7. Some time before the final book was published, Daniel Radcliffe asked writer J.K. Rowling whether his character Harry would die at the end. After a silence, Rowling gave him the very cryptic answer "You get a death scene". 8. The only film in the series where Hermione actually flies on a broom. 9. Bellatrix Lestrange is a Death Eater and Sirius Black's cousin and murderer. Rubeus Hagrid is Harry's half-giant friend and a former staff at Hogwarts.
