Solo.

Logan Lucky. 2017, Starring

Grow
Written by Algee Smith
Performed by Algee Smith and Larry Reed. Anachronisms: 1. In one of the interrogation rooms, there is a grounded outlet. Outlets weren't grounded in 1967. However The N.E.C. first mentions grounding receptacles in 1959. Grounding receptacles were required in new work in the 1968 code. 2. The haircuts worn by many of the police officers were not only against regulations for the time (1967), they would have attracted unwanted attention from the public for being "too long." 3. One of the wall lights in a scene has a fluorescent bulb. These were not invented until the 1990s and not widely used until the 2000s. 4. The phones in the motel have flexible cords which were not available until the 1970's, well after the 1967 setting of the film. 5. The film is set in 1967. The Dramatics sing a line from 'What You See is What You Get' which didn't come out until 1971. 6. When protesters are seen running down 12th Street, you can see mobile phone panels and microwave dishes. These were not out in 1967. 7. There is a shot in he first half of the movie where the back of a parked Volkswagen Beetle fills most of the frame for a few seconds. The rear deck lid on the VW has four large vertical cooling vent slots, a design that was not introduced until 1972. 8. In a hotel room, one of the guest telephones had a modular connector on the telephone handset, rather than being hard-wired to the telephone base. This was not common until many years later.

Crazy Credits: At the very end of the credits, tucked among the copyright disclaimers is the sentence, "And yes, we know that's not El Salvador." This is a reference to a joke in the film about mistaking El Salvador for Nicaragua on the map. In fact, the country on the map was neither El Salvador nor Nicaragua, it was Honduras. Anachronisms: 1. When being taken for a tour around Colombia in a brightly colored helicopter, the door is open and through the window of the door can be seen the start of a website address on the side of the helicopter. All that can be seen is 'www.' with the door covering the rest of the address. The World Wide Web was not around in 1980. 2. The propeller-driven Customs plane that intercepts Barry and convinces him to land in the suburban neighborhood in the early 1980s has "US Customs & Border Protection" on the side. At that time in American history it should've said "US Customs Service," as Customs & Border Protection was created in 2003. 3. When he meets with his CIA contact, Schafer, after being re-located to Arkansas in the early 1980s, Schafer is seen getting into a Chevrolet Celebrity with flush headlights. This style of Celebrity did not come about until 1986. 4. The Coast Guard planes are Beechcraft King Air C90 GTx aircraft. Hawker Beechcraft company (now Textron) introduced the GTx version with winglets and Rockwell Collins ProLine 21 glass cockpit in 2010. 5. All of the fire extinguishers in the film, like in the plane hangar, are 2015 and later models, which would not have existed in the 1980's. 6. The movie poster features Tom Cruise's bag dropping $100 bills. The version shown, a 1996 note, was not released until after the movie's events. 7. Sarah Wright's hair, clothing, makeup and mannerisms are pure 21st-century and would have been wildly out of place in the 1970s American South. 8. Towards the end of the film, when Barry is making the video tapes in the motel room, an exterior shot of the room and the motel in general show electronic key card locks on the doors. While mechanical key card locks had existed for a few years by the time this scene takes place, the digital mag stripe-based locks seen in the film had not yet been developed. 9. Contemporary vehicles are visible in the reflection of a restaurant before the end credits. 10. At the beginning of the movie, when Barry is taxiing his TWA jet and is reported to be "number 13 for take off," one see a number of jets, some of them appearing to be in the modern Southwest livery. Also, the jets appear to be a modern type of Boeing 737 which did not exist in the 80s (recognizable by the oval shape of the engines as seen from the front of the airplane and by the winglets). 11. To set the scene for early 1978, the opening montage includes shots of Iranian ayatollahs and a videocassette player, and plays music from 1976. The Iranian revolution didn't take place until 1979; well over 90% of Americans in 1978 had never seen or heard of VCRs, which were still far too expensive for home use; and because popular music had taken such a drastic turn in late 1977, "Let Your Love Go" by the Bellamy Brothers was, despite being only two years old, too old-fashioned for 1978, belonging instead to the "Country Crossover" tastes of 1974-1976. 12. In the beginning scenes, Tom Cruise's character meets "Schafer" in a diner in Louisiana. In the background, through the window, you can see a Publix SuperMarket sign in the background. Publix is a grocery chain that started in Florida, and didn't leave the state of Florida until after the 90's; which is after the time period of the movie. 13. The film shows Tom Cruise's character in jail narrating about a new sheriff in town. It shows Ronald Reagan speaking to his fellow Americans. He is out of jail and and the CIA offers to relocate him and his family to Mena, AR. The indicates his move to Mena '80. Reagan did not take the oath of office until 1981.

He mentioned that Sandy Koufax led the league in strikeouts. In fact, Koufax was a rookie in 1955, appeared in only a few games and struck out only 30 batters. He didn't become a dominating pitcher until 1961, when he led the National League in strikeouts for the first time. 2. When Cory appears in 1962 in his Marine Corps dress blues, he has the Vietnam Service Ribbon, not established until 1965. 3. When Troy and Bono are talking in 1956, a tan 1955 Pontiac Chieftain two-door is parked at the curb. It has Buick Wildcat wheels from 1961. 4. This was set in the 1950's, but in the kitchen there were 3 prong outlets. Those outlets didn't become standard until the 1960's.

Anachronism: When Jeff comes out for the national anthem during the hockey game, both benches are empty and both teams hockey players are nowhere to be seen. In real life, the anthem is sung just prior to puck drop with all of the players and coaches present; either on the ice at the blue lines or on the bench. This reality also separates hockey from other sports such as baseball, basketball and football which, apart from huge games like season openers or championships, usually complete the anthem singing during warmups or while the players are still in the dugout or tunnel. Additionally, one of the advertisements on the boards is for the NHL's playoff bracket contest despite the fact that the division re-alignment that created the bracket system (in which teams must first play the teams in their division before advancing to the conference finals) was first instituted during the 2014-15 season and not during the 2013 playoffs in which the film is supposed to be taking place.
