Movie Central, June 9, 2015. Music by Marco Beltrami. Soundtrack: "Silent Night" (Traditional) - Performed by The von Trapp Children, Courtesy of Rattlesby Records, Inc.; "Holly and the Ivy" (Traditional); "Ordinary Human" - Written by Ryan Tedder, Performed by OneRepublic. Trivia: 1. It is an American social science fiction film directed by Phillip Noyce and written by Michael Mitnick and Robert B. Weide based on the 1993 novel of same name by Lois Lowry. The film stars Jeff Bridges, Meryl Streep, Brenton Thwaites, Cameron Monaghan, Odeya Rush, Alexander Skarsgård, Katie Holmes, and Taylor Swift. The Giver was released in the United States on August 15, 2014 to generally mixed reviews. Filming began on October 7, 2013 in Cape Town and Johannesburg. Meryl Streep had some of her scenes shot in England, where she also filmed Rob Marshall's Into the Woods, before doing additional filming two months later in Paarl, a town near Cape Town. The filming was completed on February 13, 2014 in Utah. 2. Filming locations: University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa (Some exteriors); Cape Town, South Africa; Utah, USA; Paarl Arboretum, Paarl, South Africa (Gardens and building exteriors); Johannesburg, South Africa; Paarl, South Africa. 3. Jeff Bridges had been trying to have the movie made for nearly 20 years and has even filmed a version of it with his family. Speaking on the Nerdist Podcast he said: "I originally wanted to direct my father in it, as a matter of fact, somewhere in some garage, there is a version of this movie with my father (Lloyd Bridges) playing The Giver, Bud Cort narrates the whole thing, Beau's kids, one is shooting it, one is playing Jonas. We did the whole book, so that's around somewhere." 4. Nelson Mandela died while the film was being shot in South Africa, and his image is used in the film as a "memory." 5. When Jeff Bridges initially had the film rights to the novel in the 1990's, the role of the Giver was actually intended for his father 'Lloyd Bridges'. Meryl Streep shot some of her scenes in England while she was filming for Into the Woods (2014) 6. In the original novel, Jonas and his friends are twelve years old. However, for the film they were aged up by six years. 7. Released twenty-one years after the novel's initial release. 8. Despite their decades work in the film industry and high profile status, this is the first film in which Jeff Bridges and Meryl Streep co-star. 9. Katie Holmes plays Brenton Thwaites's mother, even though she is only 10 years his senior. 10. Brenton Thwaites was twenty-four years old during filming. This is exactly twice the age his character was in the original novel. 11. Despite being a large role in the film, Meryl Streep's role of the Chief Elder isn't a prominent role in the novel. 12. Singer Taylor Swift was offered the role of Rosemary a week after a Los Angeles concert in which she was completely unaware that the film's makers were in the audience. 13. Dianna Agron reportedly auditioned for this film. 14. The film, although sometimes accurate, doesn't, at any point, follow the sequence of the novel. 15. While attending the premiere of this film, Jeff Bridges had just received news that his best friend, and critically acclaimed actor Robin Williams had committed suicide. When people filmed him do interviews with him on the red carpet, you can see he's tried to hide his pain, and prevent himself from crying. 16. Jonas and Fiona were aged up four years because they can not show twelve-year-olds have stirrings to the public. 17. Meryl Streep's role in the film was nonexistent in the novel. 18. In the novel, Jonas and Fiona do not kiss. Quote: Jonas: "Your instructions said I can lie. Do you lie?" The Giver: "All the time. Mostly for personal amusement."

UnRaptured Sinner, Jesse Yarborough as TSA Security Officer, Tom Waite as stunt double: Nicolas Cage, Ashleigh Dejon as stunt double: Ashton Leigh and Dorenda Moore as stunt double: Cassi Thomson. Movie Central, June 1, 2015. Music by Jack Lenz. Soundtrack: "When You Come Around" - Performed by Erica Lane; "Dancing In The Sky" - Performed by Dani and Lizzy; "I Wish We'd All Been Ready" - Written by Larry Norman, Performed by Jordin Sparks.
Trivia: It is an American apocalyptic thriller film directed by Vic Armstrong and written by Paul LaLonde and John Patus. Based on the novel of the same name written by Tim LaHaye and Jerry B. Jenkins, and starring Nicolas Cage, Chad Michael Murray, Cassi Thomson, Nicky Whelan, and Jordin Sparks, the film was released on October 3, 2014, and was universally panned by critics. On August 7, 2008, Cloud Ten Pictures announced that it had entered into a settlement agreement resolving the two lawsuits against it and Namesake Entertainment, which co-produced the original trilogy. The suit was filed by Tim LaHaye. The settlement ended a legal dispute over the Left Behind film rights that began in 2000. Principal photography began on August 9, 2013 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Filming locations: Baton Rouge, Louisiana, USA; Provo, Utah, USA (scene where cessna hits chloe's dad's car is at Provo Towne Center Mall). Reception: Left Behind received near universal negative reviews. On Rotten Tomatoes, the film has a rating of 2%, based on 62 reviews, with an average rating of 2.1/10. The site's consensus states: "Yea verily, like unto a plague of locusts, Left Behind hath begat a further scourge of devastation upon Nicolas Cage's once-proud filmography." However, the film was praised by Tim LaHaye and Jerry Jenkins, the original authors of the Left Behind Series. Neither liked the 2000 version and LaHaye filed suit against it for breach of contract. After watching an early screening of the film, LaHaye said “It is the best movie I have ever seen on the rapture”, while Jenkins said "I believe it does justice to the novel and will renew interest in the entire series.". When asked if it was good, Jerry said “It’s better than good.” Accolades: Left Behind was nominated for three Razzies in the 35th Golden Raspberry Awards, receiving nominations for Worst Picture, Worst Screenplay, and Worst Actor for Nicolas Cage, losing all of them to Saving Christmas starring Kirk Cameron.
Version of - (a) Left Behind: The Movie (2000) (Video) Based on the same novel. (b) Tribulation Force (2002) Based on the same novel. (c) Left Behind: World at War (2005) Based on the same novel.
Reference: Glee (2009) (TV Series) - Referenced by Buck.
To avoid a 15 rating in the UK for a home video release, the distributors cut 79 seconds of strong threat and violence in order to obtain a 12 classification. However, the 12 version was not released, and the uncut version was released with a 15 on DVD and Blu-ray.
Left Behind authors Tim LaHaye and Jerry B. Jenkins along with their families were given an advanced screening of a rough cut of the movie on January 31, 2014. Afterwards, LaHaye was quoted as saying, "It is the best movie I have ever seen on the rapture." Jenkins was quoted, "I believe it does justice to the novel and will renew interest in the entire series."
Tia Mowry-Hardrict was previously attached to the film in the role of Shasta, but was later replaced by singer Jordin Sparks
Although Lea Thompson's and Nicholas Cage's characters are married in the film, the two never share a scene together.
It was announced Ashley Tisdale was cast as Chloe Steele on January 7th, 2013 via Deadline. On August 8, 2013, it was announced Tisdale had dropped out of the project due to a scheduling conflict since she was trying to pursue another opportunity on television. Production was delayed from March to August and producer Paul Lalonde stated they waited until the last minute to recast her in case her schedule changed to allow her to stay on. Cassi Thomson was chosen to replace her and take the role of Chloe Steele.
Left Behind co-author Jerry B. Jenkins supplied input for the script and spent time on the set during filming.
Filming start for the film begun in early August, 2013 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
Lea Thompson here plays Irene Steele, mother of character Chloe Steele played by Cassi Thomson. On ABC Family's Switched at Birth the two instead played mother-in-law and daughter-in-law Kathryn Kennish and Nikki Papagus.
Left Behind author Tim Lahaye makes a cameo appearance in a scene riding the escalator in the mall.
The UCA Bears logo on Chloe's sweatshirt in the airport stand for "University of Central Arkansas," located in Conway, Arkansas.
The scene where the plane takes off is actually filmed at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport.
Second time Nicolas Cage has saved a plane the first time was "Con Air".
The end credit song, I Wish We All Were Ready, was from another rapture based series called A Thief in the Night, made in 1972 and released by Mark IV Pictures. Quote: Rayford Steele: "Chloe, are you okay?" Chloe Steele: "Yeah, but Mom and Raymie, they're both gone!"

The plot concerns a family "sitting Shiva," which means that they are participating in the ritual for how a Jewish family conducts itself during the first week of mourning after a loved one dies. During that time, the relatives of the deceased (his or her parents, children, siblings, and spouse) gather daily at one house and receive visitors who offer condolences (and often food). The mirrors are covered, and mourners sit on low chairs and periodically participate in the recitation of specific prayers for remembrance; tradition stipulates that condolence visitors should allow mourners to speak first so that the visitors do not say something inadvertently inappropriate to the bereaved. The Hebrew word "shiva" literally means seven, the number of days the observance lasts.

Tracy Sullivan: "Don't be silly, I'm definitely too good for you." 3. Paul Altman: "Dad always had a soft spot for him. Judd Altman: I think he liked us because we're a lot like him; he liked Phillip because he's nothing like him." 4. Hillary Altman: "You can't leave this house; we're sitting shiva." Trivia: It is an American found footage horror film directed by John Erick Dowdle and written by Dowdle and his brother Drew. The film was produced by Legendary Pictures and distributed by Universal Pictures, making it the first film in Legendary's deal with Universal. It was released in selected theaters on August 22, 2014, and everywhere on August 29, 2014. The film stars Perdita Weeks, Ben Feldman, Edwin Hodge, François Civil, Marion Lambert, and Ali Marhyar. Filming: The movie was filmed in the real catacombs of Paris. There was very little use of props as the actors had to use the environment around them. Production in the actual catacombs was difficult for the cast and especially the crew as there was no electricity or cell phone service in the centuries old catacombs. As Above, So Below received generally negative reviews from critics. Filming locations:
Catacombes of Paris, Paris, France (Whole set);
Quai de la Tournelle, Paris 5, Paris, France (Way out of the Catacombs at the end);
Church of St Eustache, Paris 1, Paris, France (Scarlet met George there).
Crazy Credits: On the last seconds of the end credits, you can hear a character saying "The only way out is down", followed by some of the noises heard on the catacombs earlier in the film.
The film was actually filmed in the catacombs, not a set.
This was the first ever production that secured permission from the French government to film in the catacombs. The film utilizes a set of narrow, winding tunnels of the Paris catacombs, complete with real mint skeletons creepily arranged centuries ago.
Ben Feldman (George) actually suffers from minor claustrophobia. He had to keep taking breaks to cope with it.
The nightclub Scarlett is in when she is looking for Papillon is a real nightclub in Paris, and DJ Axiom was actually performing a set during the filming of the scene.
Not screened in advance for critics.
Marion Lambert's film debut.
Beneath the streets of Paris, the film crew hauled down a piano and the car they later set on fire. The piano was set as the one the director, John Erick Dowdle and his co-writer Drew Dowdle, used to jump off when they were kids. They got a piano mover to it into the catacombs who then moved it back out.
The 'hole' the 3 jump down to escape 'hell' is possibly a reference to Dantes Inferno, to escape hell Dante has to climb down Satans hairy belly and into his naval, which it is said is the centre of the earth, here gravity is reversed, down becomes up, hence the jump and fall returns them to street level above
The ringing telephone in the catacombs that Scarlett (Perdita Weeks) answers, is a circa 1940 Stromberg-Carlson desk phone. However, this one was modified with a receiver from an earlier ca. 30's model, and the more modern spiral cord. Rather than a traditional cloth cord. The Stromberg-Carlson was widely used in posh hotels; and can be found in a large number of films, particularly noir, from the '30s through today.
When they show the house of Flamel, they show that the house is on rue de Flamel, this is not true. Flamel's house is on 51 rue de Montmorency, rue de Flamel is only named after him.

Bill Hader and Kristen Wiig have worked together many times before. Second Second Assistant Director (Dan Gloeckner) plays the role of the father.
Bill Hader and Kristen Wiig previously worked together on Saturday Night Live (1975). Quote: Milo Dean: "Look, it had nothing to do with you." Maggie Dean: "That is bullshit. You're my brother. And we're supposed to be there for each other. And if you don't get that by now, then, I don't know, I guess I'll talk to you in another ten years."

Trivia: It is an American found footage science fiction adventure film directed by Dave Green, and produced by Robbie Brenner and Andrew Panay. The film was originally developed and produced by Walt Disney Pictures, who eventually sold the distribution rights to Relativity Media, which released the completed film in theaters on July 2, 2014. Filming Locations: Santa Clarita, California, USA.
References: E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial (1982) - Basic story structure and several tropes are imitated from ET; Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves (1991) - The poster is seen on a computer screen, followed by a musical cue; Despicable Me (2010) - The kids quiz Echo about what he needs the various parts for, and ask if he's building Minions.
After the credits, we see Alex pointing out his phone is acting all weird again.
"Earth to Echo" was produced and financed by Walt Disney Pictures. After chairman Alan Horn saw a final cut, it was put in turnaround and was purchased by Relativity Media.
Near the end of the movie when Echo took off in the spaceship, Munch tried to lie to his parents about the whole adventure and told them "We played a new videogame. A guy with a soul of a dragon or something." He was referencing to "The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim." Which the main character had the soul of a dragon. The actor who plays Munch actually did multiple voice overs for various children in the game.
When the group of kids is heading back to the construction site, the movie shortly plays a view of the Superstition Mountains. The Superstition Mountains are in the Phoenix area of Arizona, and not in Nevada.
When the kids are driving the car, it is in park the whole time.
Quotes: 1. Christine Hastings: "Who's this?" Alex: "That's Emma." Emma: "I'm, uh, he's my boyfriend. I mean, friend who's a boy." Tuck: "Awkward." 2. Tuck: [rumbling, then a sustained high-pitch tone] "What was that?" Munch: "F-sharp?"

The UK versions had six cuts made to reduce violence to earn a "15" rating.
Melissa Leo previously guest starred in The Equalizer: The Defector (1985).
There are around 90 'f-words' used in the film and none by Denzel Washington. Body Count: 20. Denzel Washington was killed by the Russian mob in Training Day, but in this film he kills them. Both films have the same director. The car which was used in the scene with the bent cop being choked by carbon monoxide was a Jaguar. The same car was used by Edward Woodward in the 80s tv series.
McCall is never actually shown shooting a firearm. At the restaurant, he twists a henchman's arm forcing him to shoot his boss. Towards the end of the film McCall only uses the rifle for the scope and eventually uses a nail gun. Everyone else is neutralized by other creative means.
Quotes: 1. Teri: "You and I know what I really am." Robert McCall: "I think you can be anything you wanna be." Teri: "Maybe in your world, Robert. Doesn't really happen that way in mine." Robert McCall: "Change your world." 2. Robert McCall: "I am offering you a chance to do the right thing. Take it."

Trivia: It is an American supernatural fantasy mystery romantic drama film and fable based on the 1983 novel of the same name by Mark Helprin. The film is written and directed by Akiva Goldsman (in his directorial debut) and stars Colin Farrell, Jessica Brown Findlay, Jennifer Connelly, and Russell Crowe. Winter's Tale received generally negative reviews. The consensus stated: "Winter's Tale tries to retain the grandiose sweep of its source novel, but fails to fill it in with characters worth rooting for or a sensible plot."[5] The film opened poorly at #7 with just $7.3 million in its first weekend. Winter's Tale grossed just $12.6 million in the United States, and $18.2 million abroad for a total of $30.8 million worldwide. Principal photography began in October 2012 but was delayed due to Hurricane Sandy.[16] Shooting took place at locations across New York City including Grand Central Terminal, Red Hook, Brooklyn, East Village, Manhattan, and Central Park.[17][18][19] Filming was also done at Lyndhurst in Tarrytown, New York.[20] The cinematographer was Caleb Deschanel,[21] who photographed the film with Arri Alexa digital cameras and Panavision C-, E- and G-Series anamorphic lenses. Filming locations:
Brooklyn Heights, Brooklyn, New York City, New York, USA
Lyndhurst Estate, Tarrytown, New York, USA (Interior of Penn's New York Mansion and exterior of House in Lake Coheries)
Tarrytown, New York, USA (Penn's Winter House Exteriors)
New York City, New York, USA.
The opening logos for Warner Bros. Pictures, Village Roadshow Pictures, and Weed Road Pictures all end by being placed on old-fashioned paper.
The closing logo for Warner Bros. Pictures is also placed on old-fashioned paper.
Steven Spielberg bought the film rights in 1983, soon after the book was released.
There was one report where Martin Scorsese had originally purchased the film rights to Winter's Tale, but he backed out for he deemed it "unfilmable".
Hans Zimmer had written most of the music for Winter's Tale (2014) before he had to leave to finish writing music for 12 Years a Slave (2013) and The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (2014). Rupert Gregson-Williams was hired by his friend Zimmer to write the remaining score and to collaborate with him on the whole score, overall.
Tom Hiddleston, Garrett Hedlund, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Luke Evans, Liam Hemsworth and Benjamin Walker were considered for the role of Peter Lake before Colin Farrell was cast.
Akiva Goldsman's directing debut.
Rhythm and Hues, the visual effects company were hired to create the visual effects before it went bankrupt in 2013. Framestore, the special effects company was hired to complete the visual effects work.
When questioned by the Los Angeles Times about why Warner Bros. believed that he's the right man to write and direct the film, Akiva Goldsman replied: "I'm the kind of romantic that likes to find the meaning in things. Just in its natural course, life is sufficiently hard. And if you can find the hope underneath that, that there is connectedness and some reason to it, then there's some comfort in that. That's what I've learned anyway. And I think that feeling is in the movie."
Bella Heathcote, Lily Collins, Sarah Gadon, Gabriella Wilde and Elizabeth Olsen auditioned for the role of Beverly Penn.
Covered on How Did This Get Made episode 83.
The main part of the movie is set in 1916, but the book being read by the Judge/Lucifer (Will Smith) while he's relaxing on the couch is Stephen Hawking's, "A Brief History of Time" which won't be published until 1988. He is also wearing a Jimi Hendrix t-shirt. However, as Lucifer speaks about how his past, present, and future is all now, having these out of time items may be part of the concept.
When the family is at The Coheeries (in 1916), the nanny says they have been instructed to go next door to the Gamelys for a peppermint, during the boiler scene. Gamely is also Virginia's last name (in 2014). Quote: Peter Lake: "Don't know who's more foolish; The horse who won't listen to his master or the master who listens to his horse." Anachronisms: 1. Aram Khachaturian's "Masquerade Suite" plays during the 1914 New Year's ball. Khachaturian wrote the suite in 1941. 2. Early on, the film shows an image of the current Grand Central Station, with a title card that shows the date as the 1800's. The current structure was built in 1913. The correct name is Grand Central Terminal.

About the script and the way it was performed, Duplass stated, "The way this worked, there (was) about a 50-page document that was the entire movie - the scene beats, everything, locations - except for the actual dialogue in the film. And most of the dialogue you see in the film is improvised. Although in certain scenes, where we have effects and things like that, Justin our writer [Justin Lader] would write out a version of that scene the night before, to give us a good guide, so we could have something to stick to."
The filming location is Ted Danson and Mary Steenburgen's home. Photos of the guest house can be found in a Houzz article titled "Ted Danson and Mary Steenburgen's Guesthouse Brims With Charm."
Ted Danson, playing the therapist, is director Charlie McDowell's stepfather. McDowell's mother Mary Steenburgen is also featured doing voice work.
In the therapist's office, several clocks are shown, including a chess clock. All of the clocks and both faces on the chess clock show a different time.
When Ethan is browsing the computer late in the film, he discovers a number of folders, each bearing the names of a couple who have visited the retreat. One of them is "Ted & Mary," a reference to husband & wife (and relatives of the director) Ted Danson and Mary Steenburgen.
On the cover for the film the two main characters are standing chest high in a pool of water. In the water's reflection Mark Duplass' character isn't wearing glasses just like his mysterious double in the film. Quote: Ethan: "I'm not an aardvark." Ethan: "And, I'm not a gorilla."

Trivia: It is an American supernatural psychological horror film directed by John R. Leonetti, produced by James Wan, and written by Gary Dauberman. It is both a prequel to and spin-off of The Conjuring and was inspired by a story of a doll named Annabelle told by Ed and Lorraine Warren. The film stars Annabelle Wallis, Ward Horton, and Alfre Woodard. The film was released worldwide on October 3, 2014. Annabelle premiered at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, Los Angeles, United States, on September 29, 2014. The film received mixed reviews upon release; nevertheless, it grossed over $256.5 million against its $6.5 million production budget, making it one of the highest grossing horror films of all time. Principal photography began on January 27, 2014, at The Book Shop in Covina. On February 25, 2014, filming continued at an apartment in South Normandie Avenue of Los Angeles County where the 55-member crew shot for several days. Filming Locations: Langham Apartments - 715 South Normandie Avenue, Los Angeles, California, USA.
Spun-off from The Conjuring (2013) - This centers on a haunted doll named Annabelle that was featured in 'The Conjuring.'
References:
Rosemary's Baby (1968) - The main character's name is Mia. Mia Farrow plays the lead in "Rosemary's Baby" a film with a similar plot in which a mother tries to protect her child from evil.
Child's Play (1988) - A building called The Barclay is shown. The Barclay family is the family terrorized by Chucky in Child's Play (1988)
The Conjuring (2013) - Father Perez makes a reference to Ed and Lorraine Warren by saying that their's a married couple that the church has worked with in the past to deal with such type of things...
The Toothfairy (2013) (Short) - the police officer says something about making contact with the devil, or the tooth fairy.
Features:
General Hospital (1963) (TV Series) - wife watches in bed during pregnancy;
Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In (1967) (TV Series) - Mia falls asleep watching the show on TV when John starts to make popcorn;
The Conjuring (2013) - Part of the opening sequence is shown at the very beginning.
The movie portrays the Annabelle doll as a porcelain doll, but the real Annabelle doll is a large "Raggedy Ann" doll. The Warrens had a special case built for Annabelle inside their Occult Museum, where she resides to this day.
The baby mobile hanging over the crib plays the same tune as the music box from The Conjuring.
Alfre Woodard hadn't seen The Conjuring (2013) before she began working on the film. Instead she prepared by researching the true story that inspired the film.
The real Annabelle doll was given to Donna (a college student at the time) by her mother in 1970. Her and her roommate Angie noticed that the doll would move subtlety, then within a few weeks became fully mobile moving from one room to another while they were gone.
A 1963 episode of "The Twilight Zone" called "Living Doll" involves a talking doll given to a young girl by her mother. The doll's innocent vocabulary soon takes a sinister tone, especially towards the girl's cruel stepfather. The girl's mother is named Annabelle.
The director of this film is also the cinematographer for Child's Play 3 (1992), a film about a killer doll named Chucky.
Ironically, Annabelle is the first name of the actress who plays Mia.
In one scene in the movie a building shows a large logo with the name "Barclay". Barclay is the last name of the main character Andy Barclay in the popular Chucky horror movie series, in which the plot also revolves around a possessed doll.
Ellen DeGeneres lived in the apartment used in the movie. While promoting Annabelle (2014) in her show (Ellen: The Ellen DeGeneres Show: Shia LaBeouf/Gina Rodriguez/Padma Lakshmi/Guest DJ Meghan Trainor (2014)), she explained that: "The apartment in the movie was my first apartment that I moved to in L.A. That was the building I lived in; where they shot the movie. I was watching it going: 'That looks familiar' and it was my building. It was scary back then too."
Morganna May, Zach Pappas, and Joseph Bishara are the only actors to return from the previous film. May and Pappas reprise their roles of Debbie and Rick respectively while Bishara, who portrayed Bathsheba in The Conjuring, plays the Demonic Figure in this film.
Prequel to "The Conjuring" (2013).
Although supposedly based on true events, and the doll being a real object now kept in the artifacts archive of the Warrens, the end credits state that "The story, all names, characters and incidents portrayed in this production are fictitious."
In the film you see two murderers who break in and go on a rampage to kill the neighbors. In real life, actress Sharon Tate died in the same way while being mentioned towards the beginning of the film as "the family" in which Charles Manson and his followers killed 9 people including Tate while being 9 months pregnant in August 1969
Annabelle The Doll is one of the famous haunted doll, next to Robert the doll
Highest grossing horror film in the Philippines, surpassing Insidious: Chapter 2 (2013).
In the scene where the main character turns off the record player you can see a dark figure in the reflection of the glass in the picture frame turn it back on
Director John R. Leonetti's first theatrically released film since Mortal Kombat: Annihilation (1997) which was released 17 years prior to this film.
The doll prop used for Annabelle is the same one from the 2013 film 'The Conjuring'.
Director John R. Leonetti and Producer Peter Safran claimed that supernatural phenomena had occurred on the set during filming.
When Mia goes through labor the woman who came to the Warren's with the Annabelle doll is the one carrying the newly delivered baby.
Annabelle (2014) carries references to the cult classic Rosemary's Baby (1968) starring Mia Farrow as Rosemary and John Cassavetes as Guy, a young couple moving into a new building. The leading characters in Annabelle (2014) are Mia and John. They name their newborn daughter Leah; this is the name of one of the neighbors Rosemary and Guy meet in their new building. Both films also incorporate a dramatic scene involving an elevator. Annabelle (2014) is set in 1969, Rosemary's Baby (1968) in 1966. In 1969 actress Sharon Tate was murdered by the Manson Family. She was eight months pregnant at the time. Sharon Tate was married to director Roman Polanski who directed Rosemary's Baby (1968).
When Annabelle is shown being purchased by the woman in the thrift store at the end of the film, the camera pans across the screen to show a Raggedy Ann doll sitting across the room from Annabelle. This is likely an homage to the original Raggedy Ann doll that the film was based on. Anachronisms: 1. 911, while invented in 1968, did not become a nationally recognized emergency number in the US until the '70s and '80s. CA, where the movie was filmed, had universal 911 for all counties in 1985. 2. When Mia gives birth to her daughter, she is hooked up to a modern IV kit where the fluid is contained in clear plastic bag. A glass bottle, not a plastic bag, would have been used until the early-1980s. 3. The movie takes place around 1969-70, yet occasional newer vehicles appear throughout the film. In one of the earlier shots, there is a 1973 full-sized Pontiac parked at the curb. 4. Even though the clinical use of Ultrasound was perfected by the end of the 1950s, it didn't really take off in British hospitals until the 1970s, and it was well into the 1970s before it became widely used in American hospitals. 5. In the library, there's a Taschen book, but Taschen editorial wasn't created until 1980. 6. At one point John plays "Cum on Feel the Noize". This song was not released until 1973 by Slade. 7. Mia plays Cherish by The Association on a K-Tel Record. The first appearance of this song on a K-Tel compilation, is on Super Box of Rock (1992), even though the film is set in the late-'60s. 8. Sonograms were not widely used in the USA until the mid-'70s. The Manson Murders happened in July 1969. 9. The table that the sewing machine sits on when it turns on by itself is from IKEA. It's a Norden Gateleg in birch own same one purchased at IKEA in 2014. IKEA did not open store in USA until 1985.

Trivia: It is an American drama film, and a loosely based adaptation of Susanna Kaysen's 1993 memoir of the same name. The film chronicles Kaysen's 18-month stay at a mental institution. Directed by James Mangold, the film stars Winona Ryder (who also served as an executive producer on the film) as Kaysen, with a supporting cast that includes Angelina Jolie, Brittany Murphy, Whoopi Goldberg, Elisabeth Moss and Vanessa Redgrave. Girl, Interrupted was released on December 21, 1999. Though the film received mixed reviews from film critics, Jolie received considerable praise for her performance and won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress, a Golden Globe Award and Screen Actors Guild Award. Filming took place along Main Street in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, as well as in Harrisburg State Hospital in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Mechanicsburg was chosen for its old fashioned appearance and its old style drug store simply titled "Drugs", all of which gave the film its time-dated appearance. A shot seen in the trailer shows the van traveling towards downtown Harrisburg over the State Street Bridge, where the Capitol building is clearly visible. Deleted scenes were also filmed at Reading's Public Museum. Filming locations:
Hanover, Pennsylvania, USA; Harrisburg State Hospital - Cameron and Maclay Streets, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, USA; Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, USA; Reading Public Museum - 500 Museum Road, Reading, Pennsylvania, USA; Market Street Bridge, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, USA; Lancaster, Pennsylvania, USA; Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, USA.
Director James Mangold states in the DVD commentary that the original cut was 3 hours long. This version has not been shown publicly nor released on any media; however the DVD contains 15 minutes of the scenes deleted from the final cut.

Gilda (1946) - Susanna is watching it when she and Lisa go to Daisy's apartment.
Life with Father (1953) (TV Series)
Father Knows Best (1954) (TV Series)

Angelina Jolie avoided any communication with Winona Ryder when making this movie claiming that if she saw anything human about Winona Ryder, she wouldn't have been able to act out the sociopath character of Lisa Rowe as effectively.
Much of this movie was filmed at the Harrisburg (Pennsylvania) State Hospital, which was still in use for treatment of mentally ill patients until it closed in 2005.
Lisa Rowe recites a poem by Dorothy Parker called "Resume": "Razors pain you; Rivers are damp; Acids stain you; And drugs cause cramp. Guns aren't lawful; Nooses give; Gas smells awful; You might as well live."

The book and film Girl, Interrupted take their title from the painting "Girl Interrupted at her Music" by Dutch painter Johannes Vermeer.
The song "Angel of the Morning" on the film's soundtrack was composed by Angelina Jolie's uncle Chip Taylor.
This is one of many roles in which Winona Ryder's character writes in a diary.
The band in the graduation scene is from William Penn High School in York, Pennsylvania.
(26 March 2000) Angelina Jolie's attendance at the Academy Awards was not her first. At just 10-years-old, she sat beside her father Jon Voight when he was up for the Best Actor Oscar for Runaway Train (1985). (Voight lost to William Hurt for Kiss of the Spider Woman (1985)) (24 March 1986).
1The quote that Dr. Sonia Wick uses during her first meeting with Susanna Kaysen is from Lucio Anneo Seneca, a Roman Stoic philosopher.
The breed of Daisy's cat Ruby is British shorthair. This breed is known for their butterscotch-colored eyes and even gray coat.
Que sera sera (what will be will be) is not a new song to Winona it was featured in both this film and Heathers.
Phedon Papamichael Jr. was supposed to be director of photography on the film but had to pull out due to work on The Million Dollar Hotel (2000). He would later team up with James Mangold on Identity (2003) and has served as director of photography on all his films since then.
Cameo - Henry Alex Rubin: The guy who first starts dancing with Susanna Kaysen at the post-graduation party.
When Lisa is ordering a sundae at the ice cream counter, she asks for "sprinkles", which are known as "jimmies" in the Boston area.
Winona Ryder as Susanna Kaysen, the protagonist. She is diagnosed with borderline personality disorder.
Angelina Jolie as Lisa Rowe, diagnosed as a sociopath. She is charismatic, manipulative, rebellious and abusive. Over her eight years at the institute she has escaped several times but is always caught and is brought back eventually. She is looked up to by the other patients in the ward.
Brittany Murphy as Daisy Randone, a sexually abused girl with bulimia and OCD who cuts herself. She keeps the carcasses of the cooked chicken that her father brings her in her room.
Clea DuVall as Georgina Tuskin, a pathological liar. She is Susanna's roommate.
Elisabeth Moss as Polly "Torch" Clark, a burn victim. She is childlike and easily upset.
Angela Bettis as Janet Webber, an anorexic. Like Lisa she is abrasive and seemingly aloof, but is also easily irritated or upset.
Jillian Armenante as Cynthia Crowley. She claims that she is a sociopath like Lisa, but Lisa denies this claim and states that she is a "dyke." She is easily amused.
Travis Fine as John, an orderly, with a liking for Susanna.
Quote: Lisa: "Take one... step and I'll jam this in my aorta!" Valerie: [comes over, a smirk on her face] "Lisa, your aorta is in your chest." Lisa: "Good to know! I'll make a note of that..." Anachronisms: 1. The story shows the draft lottery taking place before Martin Luther King Jr. is assassinated. King was assassinated in 1968, and the first draft lottery was in December 1969. 2. Susanna walks past a Robert F. Kennedy campaign yard sign as she leaves her house to go to the mental hospital. It is fall 1967. Kennedy didn't announce his intention to run for president until March 1968. 3. When Susanna is first being driven by taxi to the asylum, we see an all blue mailbox through the window. In 1968, mailboxes were red on top, blue on bottom. They weren't painted all blue until the 1970s. 4. When Susanna is talking to an employee at her high school about her plans for college and her career, she says she's not going to burn her bra, drop acid, or march on Washington. The bra burning story was published in 1968, not 1967 when Susanna was in high school. 5. At the 1968 party after Susanna and Lisa are picked up in the microbus, The Doors' "Roadhouse Blues", released in 1970, is playing. 6. "The End of the World" by Skeeter Davis is on Daisy's record player, but the record itself is a Columbia 45 from the early-to-mid-1950s (red label, gold print). This song was first released on an RCA 45 from 1963, with a black label.

Trivia: It is an American science fiction adventure film directed by Colin Trevorrow. It is the fourth installment in the Jurassic Park film series. The screenplay was co-written by Rick Jaffa, Amanda Silver, Derek Connolly, and Trevorrow. The film stars Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Vincent D'Onofrio, Ty Simpkins, Nick Robinson, Omar Sy, B.D. Wong, and Irrfan Khan. Wong is the only actor from any of the previous films to appear in the film. Set twenty-two years after the events of Jurassic Park, Jurassic World takes place on the same fictional island of Isla Nublar, where a fully-functioning dinosaur theme park has operated for ten years. The park plunges into chaos when a genetically-modified dinosaur, Indominus rex, breaks loose and runs rampant across the island. Universal Pictures intended to begin production on a fourth Jurassic Park film in 2004 for a summer 2005 release, but the film entered over a decade of development hell while the script went through revisions. Steven Spielberg, director of the first two Jurassic Park films, acted as executive producer as he had for Jurassic Park III. Thomas Tull also acted as executive producer; his production company, Legendary Pictures, funded approximately 20 percent of the film's budget. Frank Marshall and Patrick Crowley produced the film. Jurassic World was released by Universal on June 10, 2015 in European countries, June 11 in Australia, India and Malaysia, and June 12 in North America. It broke numerous records during its opening weekend, including the biggest opening weekend in North America, and the highest-grossing opening worldwide, surpassing The Avengers and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2. It is the first film to gross $500 million worldwide in a single weekend, the fastest film to accrue $1 billion, the third-highest-grossing film of 2015 and the 13th-highest-grossing film of all time. Jimmy Buffett has a very brief flash of a cameo, appropriately carrying two margaritas. A branch of his "Margaritaville" restaurant chain can be seen on the Jurassic World "City Walk".
New Orleans has an abandoned Six Flags theme park which has been used for other film productions in the past. Jurassic World created a 300-foot by 200-foot Main Street and Boardwalk in the amusement park's abandoned parking lot. They shot on the set for two and a half weeks. Quote: 1. Gray: "Can we stay with you?" Claire: "I am never leaving you again!" Gray, Zach: [points to Owen] "No, no, him. We mean him." 2. Owen: "What happened to the sibling?" Claire: "She ate it." Anachronism: The tires on the abandoned jeeps were the modern replacement for the radial all terrains used originally.

Trivia: It is a French-American biographical drama film directed by Olivier Dahan and written by Arash Amel. The film stars Nicole Kidman in the titular role of Grace Kelly. It also features a supporting cast of Frank Langella, Parker Posey, Derek Jacobi, Paz Vega, Roger Ashton-Griffiths, Milo Ventimiglia, and Tim Roth. Reviews of the film were overwhelmingly negative: "Beautifully shot but utterly vapid." Filming locations: Monaco;
Genoa, Liguria, Italy
Menton, Alpes-Maritimes, France
Brussels Parlement, Brussels-Capital, Belgium (Prince Rainier's office)
Lint, Belgium
Ghent, East Flanders, Flanders, Belgium (Old Falligan Hotel)
Paris, France
AED Studios, Flanders, Belgium (Interior Palace).
References: The Birds (1963) - Hitchcock mentions it a few times; Marnie (1964) - Hitchcock brings the script of Marnie to Grace in the hopes she'll consider starring in it.
In a scheduling coincidence, production started during the 30th anniversary of the death of Princess Grace.
This film was selected as the opening film at the Cannes Film Festival.
The script was listed in the 2011 Hollywood Black List of the most liked unproduced screenplays of the year.
Jessica Chastain, Emily Blunt, Charlize Theron, Reese Witherspoon, Gwyneth Paltrow, Kate Hudson, Rosamund Pike, Amy Adams, January Jones and Elizabeth Banks were among those considered to play Grace Kelly.
Nicole Kidman has stated that the movie is not a documentary, nor a biopic. Instead, it is the research of Grace Kelly's vulnerability and humanity.
The film was intended to be released during the fall of 2013 however it was delayed due to arguments between director Olivier Dahan and distributor Harvey Weinstein over the final cut.
In the French dubbed version of the film, Julie Gayet, the mistress of French president François Hollande, assumed Nicole Kidman's lead role.
As of 2015 there were three different edits of the movie: a cut of the movie under the direction of director Olivier Dahan that was shown at Cannes in 2014, a cut of the movie done by writer/producer Arash Amel at the behest of North American distributors The Weinstein Company, and a third cut that was shown on the Lifetime network where the film was finally released in May of 2015. Anachronism: 1. On the map Russia's Baltic seaport is named "St. Petersburg". From 1924 to 1991, the city's name was "Leningrad". 2. The copy of the script for "Marnie" presented to Grace Kelly lists Jay Presson Allen as the screenwriter. The script for "Marnie" actually offered to her was an earlier draft by Evan Hunter. Allen came onto the project later, after Kelly turned it down and 'Tippi' Hedren was cast as Marnie.

Commons, Michael Gonzalez, Alex da Kid (as Alexander Grant) and Sam Harris (as Samuel Harris), Performed by Jamie N. Commons and X Ambassadors, Courtesy of Interscope Records, Under license from Universal Music Enterprises. Trivia: 1. It is an American 3D action fantasy and adventure film directed by Brett Ratner and starring Dwayne Johnson, Ian McShane, Rufus Sewell and John Hurt. It is based on the graphic novel Hercules: The Thracian Wars. Distributed jointly by Paramount Pictures and MGM, it was released on July 25, 2014. It is one of two Hollywood-studio Hercules films released in 2014, the other being Summit Entertainment's The Legend of Hercules. 2. Scott Foundas, chief film critic for Variety wrote in a positive review that "It's a grandly staged, solidly entertaining, old-fashioned adventure movie that does something no other Hercules movie has quite done before: It cuts the mythical son of Zeus down to human size." Filming locations: Origo Film Studio, Budapest, Hungary (studio); Croatia (exteriors - vfx footage); Páty, Hungary; Hungary (all the exteriors). 3. Writing Credits: Steve Moore - (Radical comic "Hercules"). The film is dedicated to the late Steve Moore. 4. Reference: Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope (1977) - Just like Han Solo, Autolycus takes his money and leaves his companions on the eve of the final battle before having a change of heart and coming back. 5. In Live with Kelly and Michael: Dwayne Johnson/Sarah McLachlan (2014), Dwayne Johnson revealed that his beard in the movie was made of yak testicle hair. To prepare for the role, Dwayne Johnson took on a grueling training routine for eight months. 6. This film is based on the graphic novel "Hercules: The Thracian Wars". The character Tydeus, was the father of the Greek hero Diomedes, a participant in the Trojan War, written in the Iliad by Homer. Not screened in advance for critics. According to Greek mythology Autolycus is Odysseus' grandfather. In the movie, the Trojan War is spoken of as being in the past. In the original Trojan War myths, Hercules died before the Trojan War, and is a crucial part of its back-story. 7. Except for Dwayne Johnson's American English, all spoken roles are British English, or spoken by actors with English not their native language. 8. After the first fight scene Hercules receives medical treatment for his stab wound. You can see clearly that his left chest muscle has a covered tattoo by make-up. 9. One of two Hercules movies released in 2014. The other is The Legend of Hercules (2014). 10. King Rhesus of Thrace was a Trojan ally in Homer's Iliad. His name has been given to a type of monkey from the macaque family, native to Afghanistan, Pakistan, India, China, Myanmar (alias Burma), and a few neighboring countries. 11. Joseph Fiennes plays King Eurystheus. His older brother Ralph Fiennes played Hades in Clash of the Titans (2010) and Wrath of the Titans (2012) which were based on another iconic Greek hero myth. 12. In the flashback when King Eurystheus congratulates Hercules on his victory over the Hydra, he's shown breeding peacocks, an animal closely linked to the goddess Hera in the mythology and maybe a hint at his true intentions. 13.During shooting of the scene where Hercules breaks free of his chains, Dwayne Johnson stated that he "blacked out" after every take: "I asked the prop department to lock me in with real steel chains that I couldn't break, so the performance would be real. When Hercules finally accepts his fate of being the son of Zeus, it's the epic moment of the mythology - and our movie. We shot this scene 8 times - I blacked out every time. Down to my knees. Well worth the pain.. this moment is iconic. I'm excited for you to see it." 14. When King Eurystheus congratulates Hercules for killing the Hydra, he's shown breeding peacocks. This is the sacred animal of the goddess Hera, Hercules' arch nemesis. Possibly a clue to his true intentions. Quotes: 1. Atalanta: "We will fight for you, and we will die for you!" 2. Hercules: "In this moment, on this day, become the man you were born to be. You have it within yourself to write your own legend. Let it be to death, or Victory!" Anachronisms: 1. Rhesus and his men all have stirrups, which were not used in Europe till well after the fall of the Roman Empire. 2. After the first fight, Hercules receives medical treatment for his stab wound. He has a modern tattoo on the left side of his chest which has been covered by make-up. 3. The opening tells us that the date is 358 BC, yet the cultures and governments depicted in the movie are typical of a much earlier time, possibly even 1358 BC. One of the most telling details is that Eurystheus is called the King of Athens, an office abolished at least 400 years earlier when Athens became a republic.

Trivia: It is a computer-animated military science fiction and cyberpunk action film. Directed by Shinji Aramaki, the voice cast includes Luci Christian (Deunan Knute), David Matranga (Briareos) and Wendel Calvert (Two Horns). Appleseed Alpha had an advance digital release on July 15, 2014. Zac Bertschy from Anime News Network called it "the most visually stunning Appleseed movie yet". Hollywood Outbreak website wrote that "thanks to the extensive motion and facial capture work on the project, the animation is a perfect balance of realism and science fiction-esque fantasy". Appleseed Alpha was selected for screening at Fantasia Festival on July 19, 2014. There is a scene after the end credits.
The film is a reboot to the original "Appleseed" directed by Shinji Aramaki and follows a different series of events and does not follow the "Appleseed" movie canon, despite being directed by the same director of the previous movies.
New viewers who had never seen the original "Appleseed", which this film is a reboot of and were unfamiliar with the "Appleseed" franchise, were puzzled on why the film is called "Appleseed Alpha". The main protagonists Deunan Knute and Briareos are refereed to as Appleseeds. It is explained by Hitomi that the duo are like Appleseeds and whether they will travel, they will bring hope and others will follow them.

Storyline: Skylar and Dan are happily celebrating their wedding when suddenly Skylar's Christian parents are raptured, leaving their daughter and her new husband behind. She and Dan must find shelter from the new, extreme weather as well as from several winged demons that are keen on making Skylar and Dan their prey. They manage to take shelter in a nearby church along with several others remaining, where they re-examine their lives and personal faith in Jesus Christ, in the wake of remaining on Earth as it enters the seven-years of Tribulation.
Trivia: It is an American found footage apocalyptic horror film directed by Casey La Scala, who co-wrote the script with Chris Downing. La Scala began researching mythologies for the film while also drawing upon his own past Biblical knowledge. He decided to "[follow] the rules of Revelation" and tried to make the film Biblically accurate. The film had a limited theatrical release on September 5, 2014 and centers upon a group of friends that are forced to examine their lives after the Apocalypse strikes. Reviews have been predominantly negative. Variety was mixed in their opinion of the film, criticizing it for using overly cliched elements of the found footage genre and for containing "ham-handed" dialogue, speechifying, and proselytizing. Filming Locations: Wilmington, North Carolina, USA.

Trivia: It is an American drama film directed by David Dobkin. The film stars Robert Downey, Jr., Robert Duvall, Vera Farmiga, Vincent D'Onofrio, Jeremy Strong, Dax Shepard, and Billy Bob Thornton. The film was released in the United States on October 10, 2014. It received mixed reviews; critics praised the performances of Downey and Duvall and Thomas Newman's score, but criticized the formulaic nature of its script and the lack of development for its supporting characters. Duvall received multiple award nominations for his performance as Judge Joseph Palmer, including the Academy Award, Golden Globe Award, Screen Actors Guild Award, and Satellite Award for Best Supporting Actor. Thomas Newman also received a Satellite Award nomination for Best Original Score. Principal photography started on May 31, 2013 in Shelburne Falls, Massachusetts. Shooting also took place in Attleboro, Belmont, Dedham, Sunderland, and Waltham, Massachusetts. Scenes also were filmed in Pennsylvania and Worcester, Massachusetts. The film is set in the fictional town of Carlinville, Indiana. Filming was also done at the It's About Time Clock shop, a small business antiques shop in Millers Falls, Massachusetts. It is the actual location of the antique store in the movie. Filming locations: Jackson County, Indiana, USA; Shelburne Falls, Massachusetts, USA; Plymouth County Courthouse, Plymouth, Massachusetts, USA (Court room scenes); Dedham, Massachusetts, USA (exterior scenes); Attleboro, Massachusetts, USA (Funeral home); Worcester, Massachusetts, USA (Worcester Telegram and Gazette); Boston, Massachusetts, USA; Milton, Massachusetts, USA (Judge's house); Belmont, Massachusetts, USA; Stage 29, Warner Brothers Burbank Studios - 4000 Warner Boulevard, Burbank, California, USA.
References: To Kill a Mockingbird (1962) - Hank mentions Atticus Finch; The Godfather (1972) - Sam quotes The Godfather (made an offer he couldn't refuse); Driving Miss Daisy (1989) - Mentioned by Hank; The Simpsons (1989) (TV Series) - Hank mentions Homer Simpson.
At one point a character mentions that everyone wants Atticus Finch to be their lawyer. A reference to the book and or movie "To Kill a Mockingbird ". Robert Duvall's screen debut was in that movie
The screenplay for this film was featured in the 2012 Blacklist; a list of the "most liked" unmade scripts of the year.
First feature release from "Team Downey", Robert Downey Jr. and wife Susan Downey's production company.
Jack Nicholson and Tommy Lee Jones were considered for the role that went to Robert Duvall.
The Firefly Bar is named as a tribute to Marvel Director & Executive Producer Joss Whedon
The fishing cabin where the judge receives his chemotherapy treatments is the same cabin that was used in "Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood" (where Siddalee stays after fighting with her mother). Both movies were filmed in Wilmington, NC.
Robert Downey's very non-traditionally modern Chicago house is actually located in the Boston area, and is the home of the architect that designed it, Charles Rose.
Despite having worked together in films at least twice before, Robert Duvall didn't remember meeting Robert Downy Jr. when they got together for this film. His excuse: "Well, he's cleaned up a lot since!" (Source: The Graham Norton show)
Vera Farmiga and Robert Downey Jr. play characters who are supposed to be the same age but Farmiga is 8 years younger that Downey. By contrast Leighton Meester who plays Farmiga's daughter is just 13 younger than Farmiga while Sarah Lancaster who plays Downey's wife is 15 younger than him.
Robert Downey Jr.'s first leading role in a non "Iron Man" and non "Sherlock Holmes" movie since the 2010 film "Due Date".
Robert Duvall was nominated for the Best Supporting Actor Oscar for the film.
The final choices for the lead female role were Vera Farmiga and Elizabeth Banks.
This movie is based in Carlinville, Indiana. The real town of Carlinville is located in Illinois, halfway between St Louis MO and Springfield, IL.
Reunites Billy Bob Thornton and Robert Duvall, who previously co-starred together in the films "Sling Blade" (1996), "The Apostle" (1997), and "Jayne Mansfield's Car" (2012). Additionally, Robert Duvall appeared in the 1996 film "A Family Thing", with a screenplay written by Thornton.
Robert Duval played Billy Bob Thorton's father in Sling Blade.
There are two additional references to previous roles Robert Duvall has played: 1) The bailiff's name is Augustus or Gus....Duvall has often said that the role of Augustus McCrae was one of his favorites. There's a bit of a gleam and a subtle smile when Duvall's character says "Gus". 2) When Sam and Hank are discussing their past at the lake, Sam uses the phrase "A more superior prick never shit between two shoes". Duvall's character in "The Great Santini" is described as "The greatest marine fighter pilot that ever crapped between two shoes!"
The actors who played the two judges, Judge Palmer (Robert Duvall) and Judge Warren (Ken Howard), each played the husband of Blythe Danner in memorable landmark roles in the 1970s, Howard in 1776 (1972) and Adam's Rib (1973), and Duvall in The Great Santini (1979).
Robert Downey Jr. and Robert Duvall previously appeared in The Gingerbread Man (1998).
Robert Duvall and Robert Downey Jr. also both appeared in "Lucky You" (2007).
In addition to Robert Downey Jr. playing "Iron Man", Vincent D'onofrio character in "Adventures In Babysitting" symbolized Thor.
Evansville, Indiana is mentioned several times and is actually a real city in southern Indiana. The airport used for Evansville however is not the actual Evansville airport.
Dax Shepard's role as C.P. Kennedy was not his first film appearance as an inept defense attorney. He was also Joe Bauer's completely useless lawyer, Frito Pendejo, in Idiocracy.
Both Robert Downey Jr and Vincent D'onofrino play brothers in this movie. They are also characters in the marvel universe. Downey is Tony Stark (Iron Man), and D'onofrino is Wilson Fisk (Kingpin) in Netflix's series of Daredevil.
Robert Downey Jr. played Sherlock Holmes in Sherlock Holmes (2009) and Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows (2011). Vincent D'Onofrio played Moriarty in 'Sherlock (2002)(TV)', and a Holmes-like detective on 'Law & Order: Criminal Intent (2001)(TV)'. Robert Duvall played Doctor Watson in The Seven-Per-Cent Solution (1976).
