Trivia: It is an American political docudrama film written and directed by James Vanderbilt, in his directorial debut. It is based on American journalist and television news producer Mary Mapes' memoir Truth and Duty: The Press, the President and the Privilege of Power. The film focuses on the Killian documents controversy, and the resulting last days of news anchor Dan Rather and producer Mary Mapes at CBS News. Filming locations:

The movie is shooting in Australia at Cate Blanchett's request as she wanted to be close to her family while filming. Quote: Mike Smith: "Hey, I never got to ask you. Why did you get into journalism?" Dan Rather: "Curiosity." Mike Smith: "That's it?" Dan Rather: "That's everything. Why did you get into?" Mike Smith: "You." Anachronism: About 25 minutes into the film, there is an overhead shot of DFW airport and it features a view of the Skylink tram system that links the terminals. You can see the trams moving in the shot. According to Wikipedia, the Skylink was opened on May of 2005, well after the film was supposed to have taken place.

Trivia: It is a Swedish comedy-drama film directed by Ruben Östlund. It follows the marital tension resulting from an avalanche during which the husband, named Tomas, is believed by his wife to have prioritized his own escape over the safety of his family. The film's title comes from force majeure, a contractual clause freeing both parties from liability in the event of unexpected disasters. Force Majeure was acclaimed upon release, with critics praising its script and cinematography. It won the Best Film award at the 50th Guldbagge Awards, and was named one of the best films of 2014 by various publications. Filming took place at Les Arcs, a ski resort in Savoie, France. The film's title, "Force Majeure", is based on a French legal term which is the equivalent of a superior force or unforeseen accident, like an "Act of God": a disaster that is not covered by one's insurance policy, or a disaster which relieves both parties of the obligations of the contract until the disaster is over. Storyline: In 1872 Wyoming, after abandoning his gun and reputation as a quick-draw killer, Civil War veteran John Henry Clayton (Kiefer Sutherland) returns to his hometown in hopes of repairing his relationship with his estranged father (Donald Sutherland). But a local gang on the orders of James McCurdy (Brian Cox) is terrorizing the town, and John Henry may be the only one who can stop them.
Trivia: It is a Canadian Western drama film directed by Jon Cassar, from a screenplay by Brad Mirman. The film stars Kiefer Sutherland, Donald Sutherland, Brian Cox, Michael Wincott, Aaron Poole and Demi Moore. The film had its world premiere at the 2015 Toronto International Film Festival on September 16, 2015. The film was released on February 19, 2016. Executive Producer on the film was Douglas Falconer. Produced for $20 million, it began shooting in July 2013 at the CL Ranch in Springbank, Alberta, near Calgary, and was wrapped by September. The movie was shot at the CL Ranch of Calgary, Alberta right after Discovery Channel's Klondike (2014) had wrapped, meaning the town had to be quickly transformed from a booming city circa 1890 to a not-so-booming town in the wild west circa 1870. Anachronisms: 1. When Demi Moore and Kiefer Sutherland are drinking coffee on her porch, the mugs they use appear to be modern polished stainless steel mugs, that were not produced until much later in the mid 1900's. 2. When Kiefer Sutherland first arrives home, in the background you can see a field full of round hay bales. Machines to make round hay bales were not available until the mid 1900s.

The film stars James Franco, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Rachel McAdams and Marie-Josée Croze. It premiered out of competition on February 10, 2015 at the 65th Berlin International Film Festival. The film made its North American premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 11, 2015. It was released in the United States in a limited release and through video on demand on December 4, 2015 by IFC Films. Filming Locations: Montréal, Québec, Canada; Québec, Canada. Music was performed by Symphony Orchestra of Gothenburg, the national orchestra of Sweden during two days in beginning of February 2015, only one week before the festival premiere in Berlin. Director Wim Wenders worked with actor Patrick Bauchau 34 years earlier, on the 1982 film "The State of Things". Bauchau played a German film director (stand-in for Wenders) who has difficulty completing a film. Quote: Kate: "Where's Nicholas?... WHERE'S NICHOLAS?"
