Anachronisms

When the phone at the house is hung up after they return from the office, the dial with the phone's number is show. It says "area code 313" and under that "1K5-0132". Back in 1954 it would not have the area code and instead of the first 2 digits of the number it would have the "exchange" name with the first two letters capitalized. (Example: HUdson 5 0132).

Though the film is set in 1954, in the scene where Bill Duke's character is introduced, "Blue Pepper (Far East of the Blues)" is heard in the background--a Duke Ellington piece that wasn't released until 1967.

When the police detective Joe Finney is talking outside the Wertz home, he says, "...the $64,000 question." The film is set in 1954 and "The $64,000 Question" quiz show didn't debut until 1955. The phrase wouldn't be in the vernacular at that time. The phrase would have been "The $64 Question" then.

At the start of the film, he tries to make a living as a blind busker playing the keyboard, but his blindness is exposed as a fraud because of Jerry's antics. He is later hired by Kayla to get rid of Jerry at the hotel. He is listed in the closing title cards as "Thomas D. Cat as Himself". He does not have a speaking role, but there is a song where he is voiced by T-Pain.[9]
  • Jerry as Himself. Jerry is a mischievous house mouse and Tom's recurring rival. He takes up residence at the hotel. Jerry is listed in the closing title cards as "Jerome A. Mouse as Himself". A Quiet Place. 2018, Starring

  • Emily Blunt as Evelyn Abbott,
  • John Krasinski as Lee Abbott,  Krasinski also provided the motion-capture for the extraterrestrial creatures,
  • Millicent Simmonds as Regan Abbott,
  • Noah Jupe as Marcus Abbott,
  • Cade Woodward as Beau Abbott, Leon Russom as a man in the woods. Cineplex digital movie, September 29, 2021. Soundtrack: "Harvest Moon" -  Written and Performed by Neil Young.

Anachronism:

The opening scene takes place on "Day 89", while the remainder of the film occurs on or after "Day 472", or one year and 18 days later. But days 472 and beyond clearly occur earlier in the fall than day 89. As is noted in the "Trivia" section, the opening scene was filmed last because it required John Krasinski to shave off much of his beard, so it was indeed shot later in the fall. This anachronism could have been corrected by changing "Day 472" to, say, "Day 442".
