Anachronisms: 1. An establishing shot shows an arriving airliner over a sign that reads "Newark Liberty International Airport." However, the story is set in the late 1980's when the airport was named "Newark International Airport." "Liberty" was added to the name in 2002 after 9/11. 2. Javed listens to Bruce Springsteen's studio version of Patti Smith's "Because the Night". This particular version was not released commercially until a 2010 compilation. 3. The DJ is playing Tiffany: I Think We're Alone Now in Nov '87, but it didn't reach the UK charts until early 1988. He also talks about people wanting to hear Bros. They didn't have their first hit until 1988 with When Will I Be Famous. Their first single I Owe You Nothing entered the UK chart on 28th November 1987 at Number 81. 4. When Javid picking up the NME at the newsstand there's a Number One magazine on the shelf too. This is the issue dated 21 January 1984 with Frankie Goes To Hollywood. It seems unlikely the vendor would have a 4 year old issue on sale. 5. The airliner seen flying over the anachronistic Newark Airport sign in an establishing shot is an Airbus 318, a type that did not enter service until 2002, well after the story takes place. 6. When Javed heads to the Stone Pony in Asbury Park, NJ you can clearly see the Summer Stage's white walls South of the main entrance. This wasn't built until 2007. 7. The estate they live on has modern LED street lights, also every scene showing the M1 motorway, even though it's slightly blurred out you can obviously see they're all modern vehicles. 8. Cars seen on the highway are new.

"I'm A Nut" - Performed by Justin Theroux and Felicity Jones. Anachronisms: 1. In the 1959 scene where Ruth, Marty & baby Jane celebrate Ruth's job, they toast a glass of champagne and little Jane drinks a toast from a sippy cup. The "sippy cup" was manufactured by Playtex in 1981. 2. When Professor Brown and Jim Bozarth tour the DOD computer room, it cannot be a computer room of the 70s. In those days, computer rooms were on raised floors with removable sections to accommodate the air conditioning equipment. The floor in that scene is simply vinyl on sub-floor without removable sections or elevation. 3. At 29:10, even though the passer-by is wearing correct costume, her makeup is modern.

However, due to the time traveling events that Wolverine did in X-Men: Days of Future Past which altered the time line. It caused a ripple effect in which Zevon would've recorded the song earlier.

Jonah Jameson in the mid-credits scene,[27] marking the first time an actor has reprised a non-MCU role in an MCU film after Simmons portrayed a different incarnation of Jameson in Sam Raimi's Spider-Man film trilogy.[28] Ben Mendelsohn and Sharon Blynn make uncredited cameo appearances in the post-credits scene as the Skrulls Talos and Soren, reprising their roles from Captain Marvel (2019);[27] this scene reveals that they have been posing as Fury and Hill during the film, with deleted footage of Jackson and Smulders, originally intended for the opening scene, used in the reveal. Smulders learned about the twist from producer Kevin Feige shortly before the film's release.[29]
Additionally, Numan Acar portrays Fury's associate Dimitri,[30][31] and Remy Hii plays Brad Davis, a popular student who Parker sees as competition for MJ's affection.[32][33] Zach Barack, the first openly transgender actor in the MCU, portrays one of Parker's new classmates, Zach.[34][35][36] Dawn Michelle King, an assistant editor on many MCU films including Far From Home, provides the voice for the artificial intelligence E.D.I.T.H.[37] Jeff Bridges and Robert Downey Jr. appear as Obadiah Stane and Stark through the use of archival footage from Iron Man and Captain America: Civil War (2016), respectively.[26][38] Images from previous MCU films of Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, and Paul Bettany as Stark, Steve Rogers / Captain America, Natasha Romanoff / Black Widow, and Vision, respectively, are used in the film's opening "in memoriam" segment.[39][40] The four Elementals are modeled after different Spider-Man villains from Marvel comic books: Hydro-Man, Molten Man, Sandman, and Cyclone; E.D.I.T.H. is voiced by Dawn Michelle King, the first assistant editor on both "Far From Home" and Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017). In a scene showing a close up of Nureyev's foot performing a tendu, the shoe he is wearing is a white split sole ballet slipper, a shoe that did not exist in the 1960s. Split sole ballet technique shoes have only been on the dance scene since the mid 1990s. 2. A title card at one point says "The Mariinsky Theatre, Leningrad." However, the theater did not regain that historic Tsarist-era name until 1992. At the time the film is set, during the Soviet era, the building was known as The Kirov Theatre.

"Happy Birthday to You" - Written by Patty S. Hill and Mildred J. Hill. Anachronisms: 1. At the beginning of the movie, Bud Fox and Marvin say Gordon Gekko was shorting NASA stock right after the Challenger explosion. The scene is set in 1985, but the Space Shuttle Challenger exploded January 28, 1986. 2. Early in the movie when Bud wakes up in his apartment and turns on his computer he see's it is Gordon Gekko's birthday. The date on his computer shows that it is May 6 1985. Later that same day after his meeting with Gekko he is back at the office when Marvin offers to take him to a New York Knicks game that night. In 1985 the Knicks last regular season game was on April 13th, nearly a month earlier. The Knicks did not make the playoffs that year, therefore there would have been no Knicks game on the evening of May 6, 1985.

Composed by Walter Donaldson, Lyrics by Joe Young
Public Domain. Anachronisms 1. In a later scene, a postal envelope shows a Connecticut ZIP Code. The ZIP Code system wasn't developed until 1963. 2. During Basic Training and their deployment to France the members of the 102nd Infantry Regiment (United States) 26th (Yankee) Division are wearing the shoulder sleeve insignia with a Green Diamond with blue "YD" monogram. The first shoulder sleeve insignia was not authorized by the US Army, due to a request by General John J. Pershing, until October 1918. The unit was in Basic Training in 1917 and the Battle of Saint-Mihiel where the 26th Infantry was stationed near Seicheprey, was fought from 12-15 September 1918. The unit patch would not have yet been created and would not have been part of their uniforms. 3. The rifles shown being used by the US troops in the movie appear to be 1903A3 models which were not produced until about 1940. The correct rifles used by US troops in WWI were the original 1903 Springfield from which the 1903A3 was later developed or the 1917 Enfield rifle.
