Plot: The play takes place in South Philadelphia in March 1959. Billie Holiday is performing in a run-down bar, during one of her last performances before her death in July 1959. She sings, accompanied by Jimmy Powers on the piano, and also tells stories about her life.
Trivia: It is based on the Broadway play with music by Lanie Robertson, recounting some events in the life of Billie Holiday. The play originally premiered in 1986 at the Alliance Theatre in Atlanta, Georgia, and then opened Off-Broadway. This production was filmed before a live audience at the Cafe Brasil in New Orleans and broadcast on HBO on March 12, 2016. Lady Day is directed by Lonny Price, who also staged the Broadway production, and produced by Allen Newman and Two Hands Entertainment. Critics praised the performance of Audra McDonald in the 2014 Broadway production while not being as enthusiastic about the writing.

Trivia: It is an American psychological thriller film directed by Dan Trachtenberg (in his directorial debut), written by Josh Campbell, Matthew Stucken and Damien Chazelle, and starring Mary Elizabeth Winstead, John Goodman and John Gallagher, Jr. It is the second film in the Cloverfield franchise. The film was developed from a script titled The Cellar, but under production by Bad Robot Productions, it was turned into a spiritual successor of the 2008 film Cloverfield. 10 Cloverfield Lane was released in North America on March 11, 2016[4] in DLP and IMAX.[5] Critical reception towards the film was positive, with praise for the performances of Winstead and Goodman. Principal photography on the film began on October 20, 2014 in New Orleans, Louisiana. Filming took place in chronological order in only one set. Scenes involving explosions, fire, and smoke were shot in Hahnville, Louisiana. 10 Cloverfield Lane received positive reviews from critics. Filming locations:

The audio on the radio at the end speaks about "survivors at Mercy Hospital", a line also played on a radio in Left 4 Dead. Both occur in similar situations with a similar voice coming through the radio. Anachronism: Emmett claims that all the kids are saying "YOLO" these days. If the film presumably takes place around the same time or shortly after the original Cloverfield attack (May-April 2008), then very few kids, if any at all, were saying "YOLO", a term that wasn't popularized until 2011 by rapper Drake.

Trivia: It is an American biographical war dramedy film directed by Glenn Ficarra and John Requa, and written by Robert Carlock, based on the memoir The Taliban Shuffle: Strange Days in Afghanistan and Pakistan by Kim Barker. Filming Locations: Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA and Morocco. Quote: Kim Baker: (with some horror) "I almost fucked a Canadian!" Anachronisms: 1. At the time of Kim's arrival in Afghanistan in about 2002, two V-22 Osprey tilt-rotor aircraft are shown on the airfield's flight line. The Osprey was not deployed to Afghanistan until 2007. 2. During the bombing in the cold open (and again later in the film), Kim is calling her producer back in New York on an iPhone. This scene takes place in 2006; the first iPhone wasn't released until 2007. 3. When riding the exercise bike at the gym the televisions showing news coverage are flat panels. In 2003 flat panel displays were rare for the consumer market and the small number of models were very expensive, likely putting them out of reach of being used in a gym.

The scene after the credits shows Deadpool in a bathrobe, making fun of you, the viewer, for sticking around for so long. He also talks about the sequel, and says it will feature Cable. Then he makes a few jokes about the casting, and pokes at other movies that usually tease future movies in these scenes.

Three-time World Series Champion San Francisco Giants catcher Buster Posey appears as a batter getting a hit for the "Astros." He was 17 years old and still in high school when he appeared in the film.
At the start of the film, when Stan Ross is walking to the plate with 2,999 hits (the first time), the announcer says "Will this be the at bat..." then states the date..."that Stan Ross hits number 3000?" TV announcer Joe Buck asked an almost identical question when Mark McGwire was sitting on 61 home runs. McGwire stepped to the plate and hit number 62, breaking Roger Maris' single-season home run record, set in 1961.

Stan's "You don't like me" ads are a parody of basketball player Charles Barkley's "I am not a role model" ads from the early 1990s. Anachronisms: 1. In 1995, when Stan gets his 3,000th hit, the pitcher wears a Rawlings "Pro Preferred" glove, which wasn't available then. 2. The 3,000 hit baseball is an Official Major League ball. They were introduced in 2000, so it should be an Official American League ball. 3. When Stan walks to the plate at the start of the movie, somebody behind him is wearing a current Brewers' uniform, not the 1995 style. 4. In the 1995 scene, the Brewers are wearing the correct uniform, but behind them in the dugout is the logo that didn't exist until 2000. 5. In the 1995 scene, the Brewers are playing at Miller Park, which didn't open until 2001. 6. In the film, Ross is mentioned as having played a game against the Houston Astros during his first stint with the Brewers. But at the time the fictional game was played, the Brewers were in the American League and there was no regular season interleague play, so the Brewers and Astros would not have played each other.
