Trivia: It is an American action thriller film, directed by and co-starring Kenneth Branagh. Chris Pine, Kevin Costner and Keira Knightley star in leading roles. The film features the fictional Jack Ryan character created by author Tom Clancy. It is the fifth film in the Jack Ryan series but is presented as a reboot that departs from the previous installments. Unlike its predecessors, it is not an adaptation of a particular Clancy novel, but rather an original story. Pine stars in the title role, becoming the fourth actor to play Ryan, following Alec Baldwin, Harrison Ford, and Ben Affleck.
The film was a co-production between the motion picture studios Skydance Productions, di Bonaventura Productions, Mace Neufeld Productions, Buckaroo Entertainment, Etalon Film and Translux. Theatrically, it was distributed by Paramount Pictures and was released on January 17, 2014. In the home-video market, the film was released in Blu-ray disc format on June 10.
On February 4, 2014, the original motion picture soundtrack was released by the Varèse Sarabande music label in CD format. The soundtrack was composed and orchestrated by Patrick Doyle. For its theatrical run, the film had grossed over $130 million in revenue at the box office. Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit was met with mixed critical reviews. The film is dedicated to Clancy, who died on October 1, 2013. After the financial success of their film The Sum of All Fears (2002), Paramount Pictures made attempts to continue the Jack Ryan film series, but nothing came to fruition.
In October 2009, Paramount and co-financier Skydance Productions were negotiating with actor Chris Pine to portray Jack Ryan in a film based on Tom Clancy's character, but not on any of the books. Steve Zaillian, who wrote the screenplay for Clear and Present Danger (1994), was engaged to perform rewrites. However, Zaillian withdrew after a few weeks and the film was put on hold by Paramount in order for Pine to reprise his role as James T. Kirk in Star Trek Into Darkness.
Filming was taking place at Liverpool City Centre, which was doubling as Moscow,[21][29] Filming in New York City had been completed earlier that month.[30] Other shooting locales included London and Moscow.[4] Later, reshoots were also done in New York City.

Trivia: It is an American neo-noir mystery comedy-drama film co-written, produced, and directed by Rob Thomas and co-written with Diane Ruggiero. It is a continuing film adaptation based on Thomas' UPN/CW television series of the same name and stars Kristen Bell reprising her role as the title character. Its executive producers are Joel Silver, Bell, and Jenny Hinkey. Warner Bros. Pictures opened the film in the United States theatrically and on video-on-demand on March 14, 2014. Plot: Nine years after the events of the show's third season, former teenage sleuth Veronica Mars has left the fictional town of Neptune, California and moved to New York City, where she is in a stable relationship with Stosh "Piz" Piznarski and has a job offer from the prestigious law firm Truman-Mann and Associates.
Principal photography began on June 17, 2013 in Los Angeles and lasted 28 days.[6][31] Initial filming involved 120 scenes, which Thomas described as "an aggressive schedule."[32] The Santa Monica Pier, the Vincent Thomas Bridge, The Edison at the Higgins Building, were among the 28 locations used for the filming. Scenes were also shot at the Arts District of Los Angeles and at Long Beach, California.[31] Following a test screening in October 2013, Warner Bros. agreed to pay for an additional day of shooting in order to clarify a plot point. As a result, two scenes were shot during the following December.
Veronica Mars has received positive reviews from critics, with many praising Bell's performance as the title character.
As a result of backing the project on Kickstarter, many Marshmallows (nickname to the Veronica Mars fans) were featured as extras in the movie. Steven Dengler, the top donator, pledged $10000 and won a speaking role in the film as the James Franco "Jean Genie" YouTube video host.

When the idea of Kickstarter emerged, Kristen Bell and Rob Thomas met with the Warner Bros. brass, which gave their blessing to the project and agreed to help distribute the movie. Their reaction was "if you can show there's enough fan interest to warrant a movie, we're on board." And they did, with $5,702,153 pledged of the $2,000,000 goal and 91,585 backers.

At the police department, Leo (Max Greenfield) comments that he heard a rumor that Veronica was working for the FBI, to which she replies "another life maybe.." In one of the shots, a man dressed like a gorilla was needed to dance in the foreground while Kristen Bell and Ken Marino played a scene on a bench. Ryan Hansen had just wrapped his last scene in the film a few hours earlier and was hanging out on set and agreed to do the scene. Rob Thomas and Ryan then decided to prank Kristen and Ken, who didn't know it was Ryan in the gorilla suit. The stint will most likely make the DVD bloopers reel.

The original idea for the film was written by Rob Thomas and Jennifer Graham, but was scrapped when Thomas finally began writing the script, when he realized that he'd need to tell a different story first: one that brought the characters back together after years apart. The story was later released as a novel called "The Thousand Dollar Tan Line".

In the beginning of the movie, around six minutes in, the street singer is singing "We used to be Friends" from the band The Dandy Warhols. This song was also featured in the opening credits of the TV Series Veronica Mars (2004).

Almost since Veronica Mars (2004) went off the air, there's been talk of making a movie. Rob Thomas even developed a pitch that revolved around graduation day at Hearst college: Wallace and Mac were graduating, Veronica had been sidetracked by freeing Keith from prison and there was a murder in Neptune that was affecting the beach city's spring break business. Warner Bros. wasn't convinced there was enough interest to warrant a major studio-sized movie about Veronica and the project never got off the ground.

During the Logan & Ruby Jetson "date" in the bar, some guys try to pick up Veronica. One of them is Kristen Bell's husband, Dax Shepard.
The very end of the closing credits include a thank you to the fans and backers:
"This movie would never have been possible without the endless faith and support of our fans around the world, and especially the 91,585 backers who pledged on Kickstarter to bring Veronica back to life. Thank you for never giving up, and for helping us do the impossible."

Trivia: It is a computer animated adventure comedy film directed and co-written by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures, and starring the voices of Chris Pratt, Will Ferrell, Elizabeth Banks, Will Arnett, Nick Offerman, Alison Brie, Charlie Day, Liam Neeson, and Morgan Freeman. It is the first film produced by Warner Animation Group. Based on the Lego line of construction toys, the film tells the story of Emmet (Pratt), an ordinary Lego minifigure prophesied to save the universe from the tyrannical Lord Business (Ferrell).
It was released theatrically on February 7, 2014. The movie was a critical and commercial success, with many critics highlighting its visual style, humor, voice acting, and heartwarming message. It earned more than $257 million in North America and $210 million in other territories for a worldwide total of over $468 million.
A sequel, titled The Lego Movie 2 is scheduled to be released on May 26, 2017, with Chris McKay set to direct. Phil Lord and Christopher Miller will return as producers.
The Lego Movie has received "nearly unanimous positive reviews".
Theme song: The film's theme song, "Everything is Awesome!!!", has been critically praised and has undergone some close analysis. "International Business Times" describes the song as a parody of fascism, saying that the song is a "little more than an infectiously catchy parody of watered-down radio pop, right down to the faux-dubstep breakdown. There’s a lot more happening under the surface, however."[62] In an interview with Fox News, composer and songwriter Mark Mothersbaugh says the song "was supposed to be like mind control early in the film. It's totally irritating, this kind of mindless mantra to get people up and working."
The term "Master Builder" is actually an official designation by the Lego Company; per their website, "LEGO® Master Builders are the highly-trained and super-creative builders who design all of the official LEGO sets. Other LEGO Master Builders create giant, detailed sculptures out of LEGO bricks for LEGOLAND® Parks and special events all around the world."

Benny, AKA the "1980-something space guy", a Minifigure from LEGO's classic Space line, has a broken helmet and a worn-out, scuffed logo on his suit, similar to how many real-life Space Minifigures look after being used. The helmet is even shown to be cracked at the same spot where the real-life LEGO piece would usually break.

A script for the old ''Piece of Resistance'' title has surfaced. It's incredibly different from the final version, with many of the character's names changed, R2D2 and Indiana Jones being main characters, Emmet still living with his elderly mother, who turns out to be "the most powerful woman in the universe", had Bad Cop actually swear instead of saying "darn", Larry the Barista having a larger role, and Benny having a co-pilot that's an inanimate mop called Moppy.

Everything in the movie was designed to look as if built out of LEGO pieces. This even includes effects like water, fire, laser bolts, explosions and smoke. For instance, the lasers are actually transparent LEGO rods (commonly known as "Lightsaber blades"), while smaller puffs of smoke are LEGO ice cream pieces. This is in contrast with the direct-to-video LEGO movies and cartoon series, in which parts of the sceneries and most of the effects were made to look realistic.

The animation is entirely CGI. The creators deliberately tried to make the movie feel like stop-motion, and avoided making the computer-generated effects look too obvious. This was done to make the movie look like it contained real Legos.

No simulated motion blur was used in the film, to further give it the look of a stop-motion Lego film. When scenes called for fast action, such as when Benny is building his spaceship, the animators constructed Lego brick 'streaks' the same colors as the characters.

When talking about the different LEGO worlds, a very quick slideshow plays as Wildstyle says "a bunch of others we don't need to mention". This contains images of Fabuland (a storybook-style range aimed at young children that ran from 1979 to 1989), BIONICLE (LEGO's successful action-figure and multimedia franchise, 2001-2010), LEGO Friends (a theme aimed exclusively at girls, 2012-) and Speed Racer (based on the Speed Racer (2008) movie), all themes whose style didn't fit in with the movies' and couldn't be incorporated into its story. However, a Speed Racer Minifigure does appear later on as part of the pirate crew.

In order to add more realism to the movie, the Lego bricks have scratches, fading, and even fingerprints to make the movie look like someone was manipulating the bricks in a stop-motion fashion. The Bricks are also affected by their locations, with the bricks in The Old West realm being more dusty and faded from the sunlight.

Emmet drives a modified 3177 Small Car, an actual set from LEGO City's 2010 lineup. The differences from the set are the curved front bumper and its side-mirrors. The model was later released as a promotional set called Emmet's Car or Fly Car, made to look exactly as on film.

When the Master Builders are being brought to Lord Business after Bad Cop tracks Emmet, there is a shot of Wonder Woman being handcuffed, to which she replies sullenly. Emmit shares very close parallels to Neo in the movie Matrix. Both Emmit and Neo live in a world which is a construct of another outside entity. Both Emmit and Neo are chosen as "the one". Both "die" and have a rebirth. Neo dies at the end of the Matrix and is brought back, able to see the Matrix for what it is. Emmit plummets into the human world. He is dropped back into his Lego world by a human child. Upon his return, he proclaims "I can see everything" with the ability to see part numbers to all Lego pieces, much like Neo could see the Matrix. Even the Micro Managers in Lego movie look very similar to the giant robots found in the human harvesting fields in the "real world" of the Matrix. Also Vitruvius' fight with the robots shortly before he dies is similar to Neo's fight with the Agent Smith's in The Matrix Reloaded.

Trivia: It is an American satirical science fiction comedy film directed by Mike Judge and starring Luke Wilson, Maya Rudolph, Dax Shepard, and Terry Crews. The film tells the story of two people who take part in a top-secret military hibernation experiment, only to awaken 500 years later in a dystopian society wherein advertising, commercialism, and cultural anti-intellectualism have run rampant and dysgenic pressure has resulted in a uniformly unthinking society devoid of intellectual curiosity, social responsibility, and coherent notions of justice and human rights. Despite its lack of a major theatrical release, the film has achieved a cult following. Early working titles included The United States of Uhh-merica[3] and 3001. Filming took place in 2004 on several stages at Austin Studios and in the cities of Austin, San Marcos, Pflugerville, and Round Rock, Texas.
Idiocracy was not screened for critics, but the film received generally favorable reviews. Praise focused on concept, casting, and humor; the bulk of the criticism was directed at the film's release issues or at special effects and plot problems. Los Angeles Times reviewer Carina Chocano described it as "spot on" satire and a "pitch-black, bleakly hilarious vision of an American future", although the "plot, naturally, is silly and not exactly bound by logic. But it's Judge's gimlet-eyed knack for nightmarish extrapolation that makes Idiocracy a cathartic delight." Analysis: The idea of a dystopian society based on dysgenics is not new. H. G. Wells' The Time Machine postulates a devolved society of humans, as does the short story "The Marching Morons" by Cyril M. Kornbluth, akin to the "Epsilon-minus Semi-Morons" of Aldous Huxley's Brave New World. Filming locations:

Plot: The film tells a story of love and deceit, set in Europe (Trieste, Bolzano, Fidenza, Rome, Milan, Merano, Vienna, Prague) in the world of high-end art auctions and antiques. The story revolves around Virgil Oldman (Geoffrey Rush), an elderly and esteemed, but somewhat eccentric, managing director of an auction house. Oldman is hired by a reclusive young heiress, Claire Ibbetson (Sylvia Hoeks), to auction off the large collection of art and antiques left to her by her parents. For some reason, Claire always refuses to be seen in person. An astute young artificer, Robert (Jim Sturgess), then aids Oldman in restoring and reassembling some odd mechanical parts he finds amongst Claire's belongings, while also giving him advice on how to befriend her, and how to deal with his feelings towards her. Oldman's poise and prestige is counterpointed by an ongoing scam whereby his friend Billy Whistler (Donald Sutherland) helps him to acquire a secret private collection of master paintings.
Trivia: It is an Italian romantic mystery film written and directed by Giuseppe Tornatore. The film stars Geoffrey Rush, Jim Sturgess, Sylvia Hoeks, and Donald Sutherland, and the music score is composed by Ennio Morricone.
Production: The film was produced by Paco Cinematografica with support from the FVG (Friuli Venezia Giulia) Film Fund. Filming began in Trieste on April 30, 2012. For Tornatore this meant a return to Trieste: it was here he shot La Sconosciuta in 2005, with Xenia Rappoport. Filming took place in a period of five to six weeks in the region of Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Vienna, Prague, and South Tyrol. Filming locations:

Alternate Ending: Tornatore filmed a different ending to this film, the location was a restaurant in Rome. Billy Whistler: "Everything can be fake Virgil: joy, pain, hate, illness, recovery... even love." 2. Virgil Oldman: "What's it like living with a woman?" Yeong-il. Korean Air flight, July 22, 2014. Music by Sang-joon Hwang.
Plot: Tae-il is a low-level thug who goes around the streets of his neighborhood in Gunsan, collecting debts for a loan shark and harassing shop owners for the protection money owed to the small gang he works for. He is 42 years old, lives with his barber brother Young-il and Young-il's family, and has never been in love. Tae-il does well at his job and doesn't seem to harbor many scruples about it, but then he meets Ho-jung, a bank clerk who is taking care of her debt-ridden, terminally ill father. During their first encounter, Tae-il forces her to sign a contract that requires her to sell her organs if she can't pay back her father's debt on time. After their not-so-pleasant first meeting, however, Tae-il finds himself thinking about Ho-jung constantly and his conscience begins to get the better of him. He writes a new contract and offers it to her: He will exempt her from the debt if she goes on date with him. The more dates she goes on, the less debt she will have to pay off. Ho-jung rejects his offer at first, but knowing that she is unable to make the payments at any cost, she reluctantly agrees. As they start to go on awkward "dates," an unlikely romance blossoms between the two. Following his prolonged courtship, Tae-il tries to leave the gang life behind him, but the break isn't clean. Unfortunately he is soon diagnosed with cancer and his relationship with Ho-jung is suddenly thrown into jeopardy.
Trivia: It is a South Korean romance drama film about a terminally ill gangster who falls in love for the first, and possibly last time.[1] It stars Hwang Jung-min and Han Hye-jin. Production Companies: Film Train, Sanai Pictures. Distributors: N.E.W. (2014) (World-wide) (all media). Produced by Min-jung Park. Film Editing by Jae-beom Kim, Sang-beom Kim. Directed by Dong-Wook Han. Written by Kab-yeol Yu.
Review: After seeing Jeong-min Hwang in the electrifying role in "New World," some people may be disappointed to see him act in this classic Korean love story which is proudly formulaic. The story has been done a million times before, and the script presents a series of rather predictable events along with often-used cliché's and emotional buttons. Yet, once one gets past the cinematic mechanics, Hwang's magnetic acting pulls things together into an endearing, touching movie that belongs on a must-watch list for those who study Korean culture and its multitude of nuances. This is no eternal cinema, but like trickling light rain, the viewer is likely to find him/herself soaked with humanity by the end of movie.

The idea of a movie co-starring Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger had been discussed between the two men for many years, as far back as the mid-1980s. Different scripts had been pitched or written, but Schwarzenegger said his and Stallone's schedules were not able to match up. Schwarzenegger's exit as governor and his cameo appearances in Stallone's The Expendables (2010) prompted the two of them to revisit the idea of working together in both this movie and The Expendables 2 (2012).

The German dubbing studio decided to recast the voice of Arnold Schwarzenegger with Ralph Schicha (who used a slight Austrian accent which adds a little extra fun for German audiences (since Danneberg normally dubs Schwarzenegger in Standard German)). The reason for this was that Thomas Danneberg, who normally dubs Schwarzenegger, is also the German dubbing voice of Sylvester Stallone. It was feared that the same voice for two actors might confuse audiences. However, some fans did not like the decision and pleaded for a new dubbing which was ultimately denied by the German licensee Concorde.

The cargo ship converted to a prison in this movie is Rican, IMO number 7621932. This can be seen in the scenes from the engine room towards the end of the movie. In the movie they have actually doubled the beam of the ship, making two rows of cargo holds and when widening the superstructure, they have left the wheelhouse off center and original size. The ship was scrapped after the filming in Alang, India.

Chapman said he has received requests from fans to come up with a t-shirt with the line "Have a lovely day, asshole" on it.
To locate their position, they are pointing the sextant to the polar star. When they got the partial result "latitude: 30 degrees", they are still wondering if it is the northern or the southern hemisphere. However, since you cannot see the polar star from the southern hemisphere, it is quite obvious on which hemisphere they are.
Caitriona Balfe is listed as "Jessica MILLER" in the credits, but her character's name is actually "Jessica MAYER" in the movie.
