It is an American drama film adaptation of the novel of the same name (2009) by Kathryn Stockett, adapted for the screen and directed by Tate Taylor. Featuring an ensemble cast, the film is about a young white woman, Eugenia "Skeeter" Phelan, and her relationship with two black maids, Aibileen Clark and Minny Jackson during Civil Rights era America (the early 1960s). Skeeter is a journalist who decides to write a book from the point of view of the maids (referred to as "the help"), exposing the racism they are faced with as they work for white families. 2. Set in Jackson, Mississippi, and produced by DreamWorks Studios and distributed by Disney's Touchstone Pictures label, the film opened to positive reviews and became a box-office success with a gross of $211.6 million against its budget of $25 million. In February 2012, the film received four Academy Award nominations including Best Picture, Best Actress for Viola Davis, Best Supporting Actress for Jessica Chastain, and a win for Best Supporting Actress for Octavia Spencer. 3. Filming: The town of Greenwood, Mississippi, was chosen to portray 1960s-era Jackson, and producer Brunson Green said he had expected to shoot "95 percent" of the film there. Parts of the film were also shot in the real-life Jackson, as well as in nearby Clarksdale and Greenville. One of the few locations that existed in 1963 Jackson, the book and the film is Jackson landmark Brent's Drugs, which dates to 1946. Other locations that can still be found in Jackson include the New Capitol Building and the Mayflower Cafe downtown. Scenes set at the Jackson Journal office were shot in Clarksdale at the building which formerly housed the Clarksdale Press Register for 40 years until April 2010. The Help was the most significant film production in Mississippi since O Brother, Where Art Thou? (2000). 4. Katy Perry was almost cast as Celia Foote but had to turn the role down due to scheduling conflicts with the release of her album "Teenage Dream." 5. Although it's never mentioned in the movie how Eugenia got the nickname "Skeeter," it's revealed in the book that when she was born, her thin, leggy appearance caused her older brother to remark that she looked like a "skeeter" (mosquito). Quotes: 1. Charlotte Phelan: "Courage sometimes skips a generation. Thank you for bringing it back to our family." 2. Aibileen Clark: "You is kind. You is smart. You is important." Anachronisms: 1. The phones shown are rotary dial and the correct styles and colors available at the time but many have an RJ modular connector on the hand set that was not available until the 1970s. The handset cords and at least one of the extension cords are also the newer flat style, at the time the movie was set they would be thicker and round with both cords usually the same color as the phone set. 2. Features a Model 1205 Electrolux cannister vacuum cleaner, the first rectangular cannister, which wasn't available until about 1970. 3. Skeeter is shown using liquid paper, which in 1963 was still being sold out of its inventor's house and was not yet widely available. People used hard, round "typewriter erasers" and brushes to correct typing errors. 4. The red Corvette roadster driving past the station wagon in the beginning of the film is a 1965. Later in the film Medgar Evers is shot (1963). 5. (At 4:45) When Skeeter drives into downtown Jackson at the beginning of the film there is a Triumph Motorcycle parked in the background. The color scheme of the motorcycle's tank is the same as the factory color scheme from a 1970 Triumph Tiger 650. The movie takes place around 1962-1963.

Trivia: 1. It is a comedy film directed by Nima Nourizadeh in his feature film debut, written by Michael Bacall and Matt Drake based on a story by Bacall, and produced by director Todd Phillips. The plot follows Thomas (Thomas Mann), Costa (Oliver Cooper) and J.B. (Jonathan Daniel Brown), three friends who plan to gain popularity by throwing a party, a plan which quickly escalates out of their control. 2. The title Project X was initially a placeholder for a final title, but interest generated by the secretive title kept it in place. A nationwide open casting call was employed to find fresh faces. The majority of the cast were sourced from this casting call, but a few with prior acting credits, such as Mann, were accepted after multiple auditions. Filming took place on sets in Los Angeles, California over five weeks on a US$12 million budget. The film is presented as a home video from the perspective of an attendee using a camera to document the night's events. 3. Project X was released in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom on March 2, 2012, and grossed over $100 million worldwide during its theatrical run. Criticism focused on the "loathsome" behavior of the lead characters, the perceived misogyny and the disregard for the effects of drug use. Other reviews considered it funny and thrilling, and equated it to a modern incarnation of the 1978 comedy Animal House. Following release, incidents of large scale parties referenced or blamed the film as an inspiration. A sequel was announced shortly after release, with Bacall returning to write the script. 4. To create the impression that the events of Project X had actually happened, the producers decided against casting known faces, but to find completely new actors. Phillips stated that the goal of the open call was to cast “unknown actors" and "real people of all ethnicities,” who would not normally be given a chance to star in a film. Phillips and producer Joel Silver decided to create a nationwide open casting call, allowing any United States resident over the age of 18 to audition for Project X through a specially created website. Actors were required to provide videos of themselves telling embarrassing or funny stories, or dancing. However, traditional casting was still employed to allow actors with little professional acting credits to audition. The process allowed traits of the selected actors to be incorporated into their characters, including in several cases, their respective characters taking the actors' names. In casting the three leads, the production avoided solo casting and instead had a group of three actors auditioning together, switching out and adding different actors to see which group worked best together. The casting of low-profile actors aided in keeping the production budget low by avoiding the larger salaries attached to stars. To prepare for the role and create a believable friendship between the leads, Brown, Cooper, and Mann were sent to Disneyland together and spent a weekend in a cabin at Big Bear City, California. 5. Principal photography was scheduled to begin on June 14, 2010, in Los Angeles, California on a budget of $12 million. Filming took place over twenty-five nights between 5pm and 5am on the Warner Ranch in Burbank, California. The set contained a faux residential area featuring multiple houses. The house belonging to Thomas was situated directly opposite the house used by Danny Glover's character Roger Murtaugh in the Silver-produced 1987 action film Lethal Weapon. The production decided to film on a set because locating a real neighborhood that could be effectively closed off and which would allow filming throughout the evening and early morning proved difficult. Phillips explained that using a real neighborhood would have also proven difficult because of the fire damage required for the film. Much of the set was destroyed as part of filming. The film was largely shot in chronological sequence as repairing the set damage from a later scene to film an earlier one would have been difficult. Mann described the filming as a "party atmosphere", with New York disc jockey Jesse Marco on set performing music even when the cameras stopped rolling to maintain the energy of the cast and extras. Many of the same extras were brought back for multiple nights of filming, and would continue to party between scenes. Periodic takes of up to 20 minutes were made of just extras dancing. During filming, Burbank police were called to the set concerning noise complaints made by nearby residents. 6. Project X was filmed in cinéma vérité style, only displaying the events of the film through the first-person view of the cameraman observing the party, to create the effect of the audience being in attendance at the out of control party.[18] Nourizadeh stated that the style allowed the film to seem "real" and "show some of the realities of what kids do". Cinematographer Ken Seng and Nourizadeh tested twelve different camera systems before choosing the digital-HD Sony F23 video camera, basing their decision on its ability to handle sudden extreme changes in lighting due to natural daylight and strobe lights. The film is primarily presented from the perspective of the character Dax and his camera, but Nourizadeh also obtained footage by providing the cast and extras with recording devices such as BlackBerrys and iPhones to capture events occurring outside of the perspective or knowledge of the cameraman. This resulted in hours of unusable footage that had to be observed by Nourizadeh and his team to find segments that could be incorporated into the final film. Nourizadeh stated "when you have real material being shot by real people, it then kind of feels like it is. It is found footage. I hated spending 10 hours looking through bits of flip footage – people didn’t press stop, it’s like in their pockets. But yeah, it was great, man." Other footage was provided from fictional police and news cameras to give a different perspective on the events. 7. Impact - Following the release of Project X, many parties were inspired by the film: (a) On March 9, 2012, "Project M" became the first event to gain media attention after a party invite was posted on Twitter by Farmington Hills, Michigan high schooler Mikey Vasovski, and was subsequently passed to thousands of users, to the point that the message was being resent once per second, and was posted on Craigslist. The party was dubbed "Project M" by Vasovski, and the invite contained the address of a foreclosed home where the party would take place. By 9am on March 9, potential party-goers began turning up, but by 11am the party had been officially cancelled after police began turning people away. Based on his promotion job, Vasovski was offered a summer internship by Gawker Media. On March 10, 2012, a second party gained media attention. The party was organized by a Canadian student, titled "Project Kris". Within 24 hours, it had been viewed by over 900,000 people. The event was allegedly intended to be a small party for 30. (b) On March 13, 2012, two separate parties were attempted in Miramar, Florida and Houston, Texas. In Miramar, people were invited to a foreclosed home to recreate the film as "Project X House Party 2". The promoter was arrested and charged with $19,000 of criminal damage before the party had begun. Police claimed to have turned away 2,000 teenagers who approached the property unaware of the party's cancellation. (c) In Houston, 13 teenagers were arrested after successfully throwing a party and causing up to $100,000 of damage to an empty home. When police questioned the teens about their motivation, they claimed to have been inspired by the film. A second Houston party attracted between 500 and 1,000 guests, but resulted in the death of one person after one attendee started firing a gun when police attempted to break up the event. (d) On September 21, 2012, in the small Dutch town of Haren a party spiraled out of control after a Facebook invitation. News reports indicated that "There were multiple mentions of an American film called Project X", and that some revellers wore T-shirts marked 'Project X Haren'. The damage was estimated to be over €1 million ($1.32 million). 8. Loosely based on the house party of Corey Worthington (Delaney) in Australia. The then-teenager posted the address of his house party on MySpace, attracting around 500 people and caused over $20,000 in property damage. His party attracted journalists and was widely disliked by the public, having been assaulted by a group of teenagers after the events. 9. Although the party seems to have more than a thousand people attending, only around 200 extras were used during filming. All the teenagers including the extras, in the party were at the age of 18 or older. Many of the minor antics in the party were improvised by the extras, including the girl getting caught urinating because she actually had to urinate. The most pirated movie in 2012 (approx. 8,720,000 downloads).

The films, directed by Joe Berlinger and Bruce Sinofsky, are considered to play a substantial role in generating publicity, awareness, and support for the innocence of the West Memphis 3. It aired on HBO on January 12, 2012. The film is also nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award for Exceptional Merit in Documentary Filmmaking (2012). 2. Appeals for a new trial based on the new evidence have been denied by the original trial judge. But in November 2010, the Arkansas Supreme Court threw out that ruling and granted an evidentary hearing scheduled for December 2011, to decide if the evidence is enough for a new trial. This brings new hope to the defendants and their supporters that they will finally get the fair trial they never got. However, in August 2011, four months before the hearing is to take place, the prosecutors and defense lawyers talked over a plea deal that would allow the three men to walk out of prison, on the condition that they plead guilty but can maintain their innocence. They reluctantly accept the deal, after 18 years and 78 days, they walk free from prison. 3. Originally intended to be another installment in which the three men remained in prison, the film was to premiere on the HBO network in November 2011. The world premiere of the film was announced to occur at the Toronto International Film Festival in September 2011. Due to the sudden August 19 release of the West Memphis Three, the filmmakers decided to postpone the film for another two months, to give the series a definitive ending, and a theatrical release, potentially allowing qualification for Best Documentary Feature at the 84th Academy Awards. Interviews used for the film featuring the newly freed men began shooting the day following their release on August 20. The film, in its original form, still made its premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival, while the re-cut version premiered at the New York Film Festival. The re-cut version premiered on October 10, 2011. The three men, accompanied by their families, attorneys, and supporters, attended the event. 4. On Tuesday, January 24, 2012, Paradise Lost 3: Purgatory was among five documentary features to be nominated for an Oscar in the 2012 Academy Awards ceremony. Todd and Dana Moore, the parents of 8 year-old victim Michael, wrote a letter to the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences asking that the film be removed from consideration. In the letter they said that the film glorifies Damien Wayne Echols, Jason Baldwin and Jessie Misskelley. Director Joe Berlinger had in fact acknowledged during an interview with salon.com that he determined Echols was innocent after speaking with him for five minutes prior to the trial. Despite the Moore's request the film was, in fact nominated for Best Documentary, Features for the 84th Annual Academy Awards however it lost to Undefeated. Quote: "Damien Wayne Echols: If I focused on the things I can't change, the things that have hurt me, what people have done to me, then they would have already broken me. They would have killed me inside and out. I can get up in the morning and I don't feel sorry for myself, I don't hate my life. You have a lot of people in here that all they can think about is what they don't have and how much they want out and how much they want something else. But for some reason, this situation has helped me to see more of what I do have and to be thankful for that. You know, I have, in a lot of ways, I have a truly incredible life."

The original paper and pencil version of the game predates World War I. 2. Some scenes were also filmed in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, San Antonio, Texas, San Diego, California and Hong Kong, China. 3. Actual U.S. Navy sailors were used as extras in various parts of this film. Sailors from assorted commands in Navy Region Hawaii assisted with line handling to take Missouri in and out of port for a day of shooting in mid 2010. A few months later, the production team put out a casting call for sailors stationed at various sea commands at Naval Station Mayport, Florida to serve as extras. Sailors were also taken from various ships stationed at Naval Station Mayport, Jacksonville, Florida: USS Hué City, USS Carney and USS Vicksburg were some of the ships that provided sailors. 4. Gadson is the first bilateral amputee to serve as a Garrison Commander to any post in the United States Army. 9. Director Cameo - Peter Berg: during the initial attack on the Sampson. He relays the fire warning shot command. Quotes: 1. Alex Hopper: "You men have given so much to your country, and no one has the right to ask any more of you... but I'm asking." Old Salt: "What do you need, son?" Alex Hopper: "I need to borrow your boat." 2. [after the Missouri is rocked by an impact] Chief Petty Officer Walter 'The Beast' Lynch: "You all right?" Storyline: A look at how the intense relationship between Carl Jung and Sigmund Freud gives birth to psychoanalysis. Trivia: 1. It is an historical film directed by David Cronenberg and starring Keira Knightley, Viggo Mortensen, Michael Fassbender, and Vincent Cassel. The screenplay was adapted by writer Christopher Hampton from his 2002 stage play The Talking Cure, which was based on the 1993 non-fiction book by John Kerr, A Most Dangerous Method: The story of Jung, Freud, and Sabina Spielrein. 2. According to Keira Knightley, at first she didn't know how to play her character's hysteria. When she read some of Spielrein's notes she noticed the woman described her condition as being like "a demon or a dog". Knightley then started to pull faces and contacted David Cronenberg through Skype to show him the results until they both agreed on one. 3. In preparation for his role as Sigmund Freud, Viggo Mortensen read everything he could find on Freud and even visited his actual home (now a museum) in Vienna. In an attempt to capture aspects of Freud's personality, Mortensen smoked his own Danish grandfather's cigars that he kept in his grandfather's personal cigar case over the course of the shoot. 4. The apocalyptic dream, described by Jung may refer to the beginning of World War I (1914-1918). During World War I Jung was drafted as an army doctor and soon made commandant of an internment camp for British officers and soldiers. Swiss neutrality obliged the Swiss to intern personnel from either side of the conflict who crossed their frontier to evade capture. Jung worked to improve the conditions for these soldiers stranded in neutral territory; he encouraged them to attend university courses. 5. The age difference between Viggo Mortensen and Michael Fassbender is 19 years, just as it was between Sigmund Freud and Carl Jung. David Cronenberg (an atheist of Jewish heritage) said that he had to teach Viggo Mortensen to "walk like a Jew". 6. The film marks the third consecutive and overall collaboration between Cronenberg and Viggo Mortensen (after A History of Violence and Eastern Promises). This is also the third Cronenberg film made with British film producer Jeremy Thomas, after completing together the William Burroughs adaptation Naked Lunch and the J.G. Ballard adaptation Crash. A Dangerous Method was a German/Canadian co-production. The film premiered at the 68th Venice Film Festival and was also featured at the 2011 Toronto International Film Festival. 7. Set on the eve of World War I, A Dangerous Method describes the turbulent relationships between Carl Jung, founder of analytical psychology, Sigmund Freud, founder of the discipline of psychoanalysis, and Sabina Spielrein, initially a patient of Jung and later a physician and one of the first female psychoanalysts.

It tells the story of Nazi Germans who, after being defeated in 1945, fled to the Moon where they built a space fleet to return in 2018 and conquer Earth. Iron Sky comes from the makers of Star Wreck: In the Pirkinning and was produced by Tero Kaukomaa of Blind Spot Pictures and Energia Productions, co-produced by New Holland Pictures and 27 Films, and co-financed by numerous individual supporters; Samuli Torssonen was responsible for the computer generated effects. It was theatrically released throughout Europe in April 2012. On May 20, 2012, Kaukomaa announced that there are plans for a prequel and a sequel but refused to disclose details. 2. Nazi spaceships are named after operas in Wagner's Der Ring des Nibelungen cycle. "Rheingold", "Walkure", "Siegfried" and "Götterdämmerung". 3. More than 10 percent of funding for this film came from fans. The donors are listed in the credits. 4. Filmed on location at Village Roadshow Studios, Gold Coast, Australia; Frankfurt Am Main, Germany; and New York, USA. The German customs office would not allow the film-makers to bring any Nazi costumes and regalia into Germany, but fortunately the makers of Inglourious Basterds helped director Vuorensola by revealing how they had circumvented the same problem. 5. When Renate Richter takes off the helmet after leaving the escape pod, it can be seen to bear the number "SS-1138", a nod to George Lucas. The character name Vivian Wagner is a reference to a Finnish newspaper comic strip Viivi & Wagner about the relationship between a woman and a pig. 6. Adler says Moon Nazi invasion on Earth begins at 5:45 a.m., exactly like the German invasion on Poland that triggered World War Two. 7. A tribute to 'Pink Floyd' is made by using synthesizer effects for barely a few seconds from the band's track "On the Run" from their album Dark Side of the Moon (which is where the Nazis made base). The music can be heard just after the scene where the Earth fleet departs for the moon. 8. Vivian Wagner's logo is almost identical to Wonder Woman's symbol (two layered W's with "wings" at the side), except that her's has a V for Vivian as the top letter. The scene where Vivian Wagner has a go at her subordinates is an homage to the hugely popular online meme involving a re-dub of the scene from Downfall where Hitler rants at his key officers. The huge black and white YES! propaganda poster of the president of the United States is modeled after the ones the Nazis made for the 1932 presidential elections, which bore Hitler's face. There's a swastika shaped hopscotch course at ground just before James Washington opens the airlock. 9. Cameos - a. Johanna Sinisalo (original story): Candidate running against the president in the upcoming election. Seen in the news feed in the start of the limo scene. b. Tero Kaukomaa: Finnish representative at the United Nations. Quotes: 1. President of the United States: "All presidents who start a war in their first term get re-elected." 2. Doktor Richter: [referring to the Smartphone obtained from Washington] "I invented this cable to connect this machine with our main computer. I call it Universal Systematic Binding - USB for short." Error: Although there is a presidential election happening, the movie takes place in 2018, a year when there wouldn't be a presidential election. (Presidential elections only happen in years where the last two digits are evenly divisible by 4 - 2012, 2016, 2020.

He takes record out of sleeve puts it on turntable but "The Sun Ain't Gonna Shine Anymore" plays. This was by The Walker Brothers and was not on the album in question. Additionally, the following song that plays "Stay With Me Baby" does not appear on the album "Scott." Nor does it appear on the album "The Sun Ain't Gonna Shine Anymore." Plot: Rita O'Grady leads the 1968 Ford sewing machinists strike at the Ford Dagenham plant, where female workers walk out in protest against sexual discrimination, demanding equal pay. The strike is successful and leads to the Equal Pay Act 1970. Trivia: 1. It is a British film directed by Nigel Cole, filmed on location in England and Wales. It dramatises the Ford sewing machinists strike of 1968 that aimed for equal pay for women. The film's theme song, with lyrics by Billy Bragg, is performed by Sandie Shaw, herself a former Dagenham Ford clerk. 2. Historical inaccuracies: (a) The women did not actually work at the Dagenham assembly plant but about a mile away at the River Plant (a collection of sheds). While the set used for the picket line has a sign that says "River Plant", the dialogue always refers to Dagenham. (b) The main character and strike leader, Rita O'Grady, is a composite character. (c) At the beginning of the film, Desmond Dekker's song 'Israelites' is heard. However, at the time depicted in the film, 1968, the song hadn't been released in the U.K, only topping the charts in April 1969. (d) The film shows the assembly lines producing the Ford Cortina Mk I. In fact, at the time of the dispute, Ford were already manufacturing the Mk II, which is seen in the modelling scene. (e) The school used in the film is Eastbrook Comprehensive School, Dagenham. The blackboard in the opening scene is the original blackboard from when the school was built. 3. Sandie Shaw who sang the film's title song used to work as a punched-card operator in the Ford plant at Dagenham several years before the events depicted in the film. 4. During the television premiere on 9th March 2013, the BBC experimented with the first ever Twitter-based director's commentary, whereby Nigel Cole and composer David Arnold live-tweeted along with the film. Quote: Rita O'Grady: "All right, um, everybody out!" Anachronisms: 1. The Mark 1 Cortinas shown as being manufactured in new and archive footage ceased production two years earlier in 1966, when the squarer Mk 2 was introduced. 2. A Triumph Toledo with G reg number plates was shown in one shot. The Toledo was introduced in 1970; the correct model would have been the Triumph 1300. Also a G plate denotes a car registered between August 1, 1968 and July 31, 1969, whereas all the action in the film took place in during three weeks in June 1968. 3. Ford's US boss mentions the Socialist Workers Party, Workers Revolutionary Party and Revolutionary Communist Group but none of them existed in 1968. 4. At least three of the Rover 2000 P6 cars that appear in the film including a Police car, are of the MkII version made from 1970. The rear pillar black vinyl trim and stainless hub caps with the Rover logo would indicate this. 5. A Corsair is shown among the Cortinas leaving the factory on a transporter. Corsairs were only manufactured in Dagenham after 1969. Before that, they were manufactured in Halewood. 6. In the shot of the housing blocks, a satellite dish is visible on the roof of one. 7. Near the beginning of the film, one of the kids talks about someone down the road having 'color' TV. Color wasn't fully introduced until 1969, and even in 1973, only about 1 TV owner in 10 had access to a color TV. 8. Trivia: 1. It is an American political thriller film directed by Alfred Hitchcock, and written by Brian Moore. The film is about an American scientist who pretends to defect to East Germany as part of a clandestine mission to obtain the solution of a formula resin and escape back to the United States. 2. The Swedish actor Jan Malmsjö (who had a small uncredited role as photographer in the final scenes in Helsingborg harbour and customs) found that a lot of signs were not written in correct Swedish so he helped the film crew to correct them. 3. In the shot in which Alfred Hitchcock's cameo occurs, the music briefly changes to "Funeral March of a Marionette" by Charles Gounod, which is best known as the main theme for Alfred Hitchcock Presents. 4. One of the reasons Alfred Hitchcock did not want to use Paul Newman and Julie Andrews was their very high fees. For the rest of his career Hitchcock would never hire performers with the same sort of fee or above.

Trivia: 1. It is an American psychological horror slasher film directed by Richard Franklin and written by Tom Holland. It is the first sequel to Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho and second film in the Psycho series. The original music score was composed by Jerry Goldsmith. The film did well financially (leading to two further sequels) and moderately well critically. Several critics noted that the film worked hard to sustain the suspenseful atmosphere of the original. Inevitably, it was seen lacking the unique Hitchcock touch, with the plot weakened by the contrivance of leaving the door open for further sequels. The film was followed by Psycho III (1986) and Psycho IV: The Beginning (1990). It is unrelated to the 1982 novel Psycho II by Robert Bloch, which he wrote as a sequel to his original novel Psycho. Psycho II takes place 22 years after the first film, Norman Bates is released from the mental institution and returns to the house and Bates Motel to continue a normal life. However, it soon becomes apparent that his past is going to continue to haunt him. 2. Psycho II was filmed at Universal Studios in Universal City, California on Stage 24 from June 30, 1982 to August 1982. The Bates house set was still standing from 1960, but the motel had to be reconstructed. According to Richard Franklin, filming lasted 32 days. The film was made much like the first film, it was mostly shot on the backlot of Universal and in a number of sound stages. Several props and set pieces from the original film were found by set designers John W. Corso and Julie Fletcher. The town of Fairvale (seen when Lila Loomis is tailed by Dr. Raymond) is actually Courthouse Square, which is located on the Universal Studios backlot in California. 3. Cameo - Tom Holland: The screenwriter plays Deputy Norris. 4. The Producers acknowledge their debt to Alfred Hitchcock. 4. Norman refrains from giving Mary the key to Cabin 1. Cabin 1 was the site of the infamous shower scene in Psycho. Meg Tilly was never allowed to watch any sort of television as a child, and so had never seen the original Psycho and was unaware of its significance. She didn't understand why the press was giving all the attention to Anthony Perkins for his comeback role in this movie, and one day on the set Perkins overheard her say, "Why is Tony getting all the attention?" Perkins was upset, didn't talk to her during filming, and recommended that she be replaced, even though half of her scenes had already been shot. 5. Meg Tilly's character's name, Mary Samuels, is a reference to the original Psycho. In that film Marion Crane signs her name as Marie Samuels in the Bates Motel. The book upon which the film was based had Marion named "Mary". 6. When Mary and Norman first go into Norman's mother's room, before they turn the lights on, you can see Alfred Hitchcock's silhouette on the wall to the far right. 7. The reflection of young Norman Bates in the doorknob when he flashes back to his mothers' poisoning is Oz Perkins, Anthony Perkins' son. Quote: Norman Bates: "I don't kill people anymore."

Psycho III. 1986, Starring Anthony Perkins as Norman Bates, Diana Scarwid as Maureen Coyle, Jeff Fahey as Duane Duke, Roberta Maxwell as Tracy Venable, Hugh Gillin as Sheriff John Hunt, Robert Alan Browne as Ralph Statler, Lee Garlington as Myrna, Donovan Scott as Kyle, Karen Hensel as Sister Catherine, Jack Murdock as Lou, Janet Leigh as Marion Crane (flashback), Claudia Bryar as Mrs. Emma Spool (flashback) (archive footage), Gary Bayer as Father Brian, Patience Cleveland as Sister Margaret, Juliette Cummins as Red, Steve Guevara as Deputy Leo, Kay Heberle as Ruthie, Katt Shea Ruben as Patsy, Hugo L. Storyline: Norman Bates is still running his little motel, and he has kept the dressed skeleton he calls mother. One of his guests is a young girl who has left the convent where she lived. To get some help he employs a young man. One day a nosy journalist comes to see him to ask questions about his past. Trivia: 1. It is an American horror/slasher film. It is the second sequel to Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho and the third film in the Psycho series. The film stars Anthony Perkins (who also directed the film), Diana Scarwid, Jeff Fahey and Roberta Maxwell. The screenplay is written by Charles Edward Pogue. The original electronic music score is composed and performed by Carter Burwell in one of his earliest projects. 2. The film was a financial failure, becoming the lowest grossing film in the Psycho franchise. It was followed by the TV movie, Psycho IV: The Beginning. The film takes place one month after the events of Psycho II, Norman Bates is still running the Bates Motel with the corpse of Mrs. Spool still sitting up in the house. A suicidal nun, whom Norman falls in love with, comes to the motel along with a drifter named Duane Duke and a reporter who is trying to solve the mysterious disappearance of Emma Spool. 3. Diana Scarwid's bare bottom nude scene was performed by Brinke Stevens. 4. Stuntman Kurt Paul played "Mother", except for when we actually see Anthony Perkins dressed up as "Mother" at the end (it was the second time Perkins dressed up as mother since the original film). That's why we never get to see Mother's face on screen - "her" face is always blacked out or hidden in the shadows. 5. Actress Juliette Cummins was nearly fired by director Anthony Perkins after making an unintentional joke about his homosexuality. During filming of this movie, Anthony Perkins was diagnosed as HIV-positive when he went to a clinic for routine medical examination. In an interview with American Movie Classics just before his death, Anthony Perkins admitted he was not up to the task of directing this film, feeling his technical knowledge to be too limited.

It is a UK-American fantasy film based on the German fairy tale "Snow White" compiled by the Brothers Grimm. The film is directed by Rupert Sanders and written by Evan Daugherty, John Lee Hancock, and Hossein Amini. The cast includes Bob Hoskins in his last role before retirement. The film received two Oscar nominations for Best Visual Effects and Best Costume Design at the 85th Academy Awards. 2. Principal photography took place in the United Kingdom. The beach scenes were predominantly filmed in Pembrokeshire, on the Marloes Sands beach near the village of Marloes between September 26 and 29, 2011. Though the beach was not closed to the public during filming, as filming progressed, certain parts were advised to be off limits. A computer-generated castle was set on nearby Gateholm island. A field above the beach was used for production purposes, and a special wooden ramp was built for vehicles and horses to access the beach. 3. Lily Collins auditioned for the lead role but lost to Kristen Stewart. She was later cast in the other Snow White movie, Mirror Mirror. 4. WILHELM SCREAM: When William shoots down one of the castle soldiers off of a bridge during the final castle battle, the soldier screams a Wilhelm scream as he falls. 5. Is one of very few film version of the fairytale where the dwarfs aren't played by actual dwarfs, but rather uses technical tricks to make the actors appear smaller in size. This caused some heavy criticism from little people in the trade, like actor Warwick Davis, who publicly compared this to if someone attempted to "black up" a white actor for a role as a black character. The Dwarves were played by actors who had their faces digitally transmuted onto small bodies. This caused a protest from the Little People of America. 6. Kristen Stewart won the 2013 Golden Raspberry Award for Worst Actress. Quote: The Huntsman: [Upon lying fully clothing in a watering trough, after losing a fight] "Can't you see I'm having a bath?" Anachronisms: 1. (At 0:27:46) during Snow White's flight from the castle astride the horse, while passing through the village, a woman appears to be wearing either a brassiere or a bikini top or halter top beneath her flaxen blouse. 2. While Snow White, William, Eric and the dwarves are heading to the fairy forest, there is a lot of scenic panning. When the sky is shown, there appears to be a pair of jet trails.

Storyline: Agent J travels in time to M.I.B.'s early days in 1969 to stop an alien from assassinating his friend Agent K and changing history. Trivia: 1. It is an American 3D science fiction comedy film. Principal photography was in New York City, taking place ten years after its predecessor Men in Black II and fifteen years after the release of the original Men in Black. Barry Sonnenfeld and Steven Spielberg returned as director and executive producer respectively. It is the third installment in the Men in Black film series based on Lowell Cunningham's The Men in Black comic book series. 2. Men in Black 3 received generally positive reviews from critics and became a box office success with a worldwide gross of over $624 million. It is also the highest grossing film in the series. Buoyed by the film's success, a fourth film has been confirmed. 3. For the film, the Ford Taurus SHO was selected as the MIB's official car, replacing the Ford LTD Crown Victoria and Mercedes-Benz E-Class from the first two films. For the 1969 scenes, a 1964 Ford Galaxie was used as the MIB's official car. 4. This is the first time Frank the Pug was absent in a Men in Black movie, as well as Chief Zed, Jack Jeebs, and Newton the Attendant. However, Zed is written in the story as having died and immortalized at MIB Headquarters, and a portrait of Frank can also be seen in J's apartment. An advertisement for Frank the talking dog can be seen as Agent J enters Coney Island during his travel in 1969. 5. Sacha Baron Cohen was considered for the role of Boris. The prosthetic makeup Jemaine Clement had to apply for his role as Boris the Animal took four and a half hours to apply. 6. According to the trailer Agent J travels from 2012 to 1969, 43 years into the past. He wakes up and sees a young Agent K, played by Josh Brolin. Brolin is only 21 years and 5 months younger than Tommy Lee Jones, who plays the older Agent K. 7. Cameos - (a) Rick Baker: special makeup effects artist, appears as the alien with an exposed cranium at Z's funeral. (b) Judy Murdock: Will Smith's personal makeup artist, appears as a blue-skinned alien at Z's funeral. (c) Will Arnett: J's alternate timeline partner Agent AA. (d) Lady Gaga: An alien on a screen in the background of MIB headquarters, with her alias as her alien name. (e) Tim Burton: An alien on a screen in the background of MIB headquarters. (f) Bill Gates: An alien on a background screen in MIB headquarters. (g) Yao Ming: An alien on a screen in the background of MIB headquarters. (h) David Beckham: An alien on a screen in the background of MIB headquarters. (i) Tony Shalhoub: (At 00:38:42) Manning the 1969 Newsstand. (l) Uncredited cameos by Lady Gaga and Tim Burton appearing on the TV monitors at MIB HQ, Will Arnett as Agent AA and Rip Torn as a Large-Headed Alien at Agent Zed's funeral. Quote: Agent J: "I was on my way to my girlfriend's house." Young Agent K: "What's your girlfriend's name?" Agent J: "Shh..." [pauses, thinking] Agent J: "Darren." Young Agent K: "Schdarren?" Anachronisms: 1. The countdown clock shown during the Apollo 11 launch did not exist in 1969. 2. Papua New Guinea gained independence in 1975. The flag of Papua New Guinea was adopted on July 1, 1971. In 1969, the current flag of Papua New Guinea did not exist, however, it can be seen prominently in several shots during the speech before the launch of Apollo 11. 3. The Apollo 11 launch site is referred to as Cape Canaveral. While this would have been natural for Agent J, it would have been unnatural for young Agent K as the Cape was re-named Cape Kennedy after President Kennedy's assassination in 1963. The name only reverted back to Cape Canaveral in 1973, way after Apollo 11 was launched. 4. The Spanish flag flapping in the wind during the Cape Canaveral launch scene is the current Spanish flag. In 1969, Spain - under the Francoist regime, had a different flag (bearing a coat of arms with a black eagle). 5. At Coney Island, the bumper cars seen behind J and K have rectangular headlights, which are wrong for the 1969 period. 6. The matchbook clue has the striker strip on the back. Matchbook strikers in 1969 were on the front. They were moved to the back for safety by law in 1973. 7. When J and Young K go to the bowling alley in 1969 there are a couple of pinball machines in the background of one shot, but pinball was illegal in New York City from the early 1940s until 1976. 8. The location of the 1969 party scene with Andy Warhol was clearly meant to represent his "Silver Factory," so called because the walls were covered with aluminum foil. The Silver Factory closed in 1968. 9. When J, K and Griffin enter MIB headquarters at the Brooklyn-Battery Tunnel ventilation building to fly to Cape Canaveral, the tilting shot prominently features three medallions over the entrance doors. Those cast aluminum reliefs, designed by Paul Manship, would not have been over the building entrance in 1969. They would have been mounted on the New York Coliseum convention center in midtown Manhattan. The reliefs were removed from the Coliseum in 1999 as it was being prepared for demolition and only later mounted on the ventilation building. 10. During an outdoor chase set in 1969, green-and-white New York street signs introduced in the 1980s can be seen on light posts (back then, the signs would have been yellow with black lettering). 11. In 1969 every baseball cap had a green underbill. In the film you can see a 1969 Mets pitcher using a gray underbill cap. Gray underbill caps aren't introduced until 1994. In 2007 this color was dropped in favor of the current black. 12. During the Andy Warhol party scene the stage curtains are seen supported by an aluminum truss structure. In 1969 this type of system did not exist and any truss from that era would have been made from steel. 13. Also during the Andy Warhol party there are lights seen on the stage curtains, commonly called a Star Cloth or Curtain today. This technology as displayed in the film did not exist in 1969, in fact any sort of mass production of very low powered Red LEDs only started in 1968 and prior to that most LEDs cost in the vicinity of $200 each!. White LEDs did not exist then. 14. At the Cape Canaveral scene, the army suburban in the background is a 1970-72 body style. 15. In the Cape Canaveral scene, the current-date flag of Greece can be seen. In 1969, the flag of Greece was a plain white cross on blue background. 16. In the Cape Canaveral scene, the flag of Burkina Faso can be seen. At that time, Burkina Faso was called Upper Volta, and the flag was a black-white-red horizontal tricolor. 17. The colonel is wearing an Overseas Service Ribbon. The ribbon wasn't issued until 12 years later in 1981. 18. When Agent J gets pulled over by the two Police Officers while driving the stolen Cadillac, the light powder blue shirts were not worn in the NYPD until 1973. The correct uniform would have been dark navy blue shirts without NYPD patches on the sleeves, which were not designed as the department emblem until 1973 as well. 19. Character error: When young agent K tells agent J how he met O, he says he and O went to a London pub and played darts until dawn. From 1915 and until 2003, the pubs in UK closed at 11pm. K and O may have been on a "lock-in", allowing the patrons to stay after closing-time. But given the context of K's story, this seems highly unlikely. 20. The Army Colonel refers to "the brig", but the Army doesn't have a brig. The Navy has a brig, the Army has "the stockade". 21. Griffen states the Mets were in last place every year before winning the world series. In 1968 the Mets were actually next to last.

Plot: The film cuts between two seemingly unrelated stories. One, set in present-day Montreal, stars Kevin Parent as Antoine, a successful club DJ torn between his new girlfriend Rose (Évelyne Brochu) and his still-complicated relationship with his ex-wife Carole (Hélène Florent); the other, set in 1960s Paris, stars Vanessa Paradis as Jacqueline, the fiercely protective single mother of Laurent (Marin Gerrier), a child with Down syndrome who has a crush on Véro (Alice Dubois), a friend and companion who also has Down syndrome. The film builds toward the revelation of how the two stories are linked: after Jacqueline, Laurent, and Véro are killed in a car accident, Carole, Antoine, and Rose are their subsequent reincarnations. Trivia: 1. It is a Canadian drama film, released in 2011. Directed and written by Jean-Marc Vallée, the film garnered 13 nominations for the 2012 Genie Awards. Paradis won the Genie for Best Actress; the film also picked up a Genie for Achievement in Make-Up. 2. Director and writer Jean-Marc Vallée originally wanted Led Zeppelin's "Stairway to Heaven" as part of the film's soundtrack, however while Jimmy Page eventually agreed to its use, Robert Plant nixed the idea. Quotes: 1. La médium: "The meeting of twin flames is when the soul finds its other half on the path homeward, to the source. The cycle of reincarnation ends. It's the final relationship that leads to unity." 2. Antoine Godin: "Do you believe in soulmates? I do. I like the concept that there is somebody who is supposed to be with you forever." Antoine Godin: "If it's a soulmate, it's not supposed to end, right? It doesn't happen twice in a lifetime."

It is a Chinese historical drama war film directed by Zhang Yimou, starring Christian Bale, Ni Ni, Zhang Xinyi, Tong Dawei, Atsuro Watabe, Shigeo Kobayashi and Cao Kefan. It is set in 1937, Nanking, China, during the "Rape of Nanking", at the time of the Second Sino-Japanese War. It was selected as the Chinese entry for Best Foreign Language Film at the 84th Academy Awards, but did not make the final shortlist. It also received a nomination for the 69th Golden Globe Awards. The 6th Asian Film Awards presented The Flowers of War with several individual nominations, including Best Film. 3. The film's North American distribution rights were acquired by Wrekin Hill Entertainment, in association with Row 1 Productions, leading to a limited release in New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco for late December 2011, and expanding into the following year. Limited release for Washington, D.C., Hawaii, and Virginia commenced on January 20, 2012. 4. In December 2010, it was announced that the film would be made, and pre-production started the same month. They began shooting on location in Nanjing, China, on January 10, 2011. The film was shot in 164 days on an 18 hour daily schedule. The dialogue of the film was shot about 40% in English and the rest in Mandarin Chinese (particularly in the Nanjing dialect, distinct from Standard Chinese) and Japanese, with an estimated production budget of $94 million, which makes it the most expensive film in Chinese history. 5. To distinguish the film from previous depictions of the same subject, Zhang said that he tried to portray the Japanese invaders with multiple layers. Regarding Colonel Hasegawa's sympathetic features, he explained that "in 1937, the militaristic notion among Japanese armies was very prevalent, and officers were not allowed to sing a homesick folk song, but we still wanted to endow this character with something special." The director articulated that his biggest, though challenging, accomplishment in the film was the creation of John Miller, saying that "this kind of character, a foreigner, a drifter, a thug almost, becomes a hero and saves the lives of Chinese people. That has never ever happened in Chinese filmmaking, and I think it will never happen again in the future." Filming completed within 6 months. One challenging aspect was what Zhang called the "very slow pace" of negotiation with the Chinese censorship authorities during the editing process.

Trivia: 1. It is an American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics character Spider-Man. It is a reboot of the Spider-Man film series. The film was directed by Marc Webb, written by James Vanderbilt, Alvin Sargent and Steve Kloves. It was distributed by Columbia Pictures. The film tells the story of Peter Parker, a high school student from New York City who transforms himself into Spider-Man after being bitten by a spider. Parker must stop Dr. Curt Connors from testing a mutation serum on human subjects. Development of the film began with the cancellation of Spider-Man 4 in 2010, ending director Sam Raimi's Spider-Man film series that had starred Tobey Maguire, Kirsten Dunst and James Franco. Opting to reboot the franchise with the same production team, Sony Pictures Entertainment announced a July 2012 release. 2. Principal photography began on December 6, 2010, in Los Angeles. The working title was Fiona's Tale. The 90-day shoot included two weeks in New York City, while the bulk of filming occurred in and around Los Angeles, including such locations as the Henry Fonda Theater in Hollywood, St. John Bosco High School's Gym, Immanuel Presbyterian Church in Mid-Wilshire and various locations around South Pasadena, San Pedro and Woodland Hills. Sony Entertainment spokesman Steve Elzer explained, "[T]here is a comfort level in producing a project of this size and scope on your own backlot ... Basing the film on the lot also makes it easier for producers to interact with Sony's in-house visual effects team, and gives the studios greater control of quality and security." Some location shooting took place in New York City. The Alexander Hamilton U.S. Custom House served as the exterior for NYPD headquarters, and an apartment house at 15 West 81st Street, on Manhattan's Upper West Side, was used as the exterior for the home of Gwen Stacy and her family. A row of houses on Fuller Place in the Brooklyn neighborhood of Windsor Terrace stood in for the Forest Hills, Queens neighborhood of Ben and May Parker. A web-swinging stunt sequence takes place along the Riverside Drive Viaduct in Harlem. 3. Rhys Ifans rejected his stunt doubles, and insisted on performing all his own stunts as the Lizard. 4. When Spiderman swings through New York at one point he yells, "Hey, I'm swingin' here!" This is in reference to the famous ad-lib by Dustin Hoffman in New York based Midnight Cowboy, "Hey, I'm walking here!" 5. Cameo - (a) Michael Papajohn: the carjacker in the previous Spider-Man series appears as Dr. Ratha's driver. (b) Stan Lee: The man in the library unaware of the events going on behind him. 6. Error: When Peter first discovers his powers on the train (Q-train), it was leaving Manhattan (Oscorp Tower) heading towards Coney Island, Brooklyn (last stop). Peter Parker lives in Forest Hill, Queens, NY. The Q-train only runs through the boroughs of Manhattan and Brooklyn. Quote: "Spider-Man: Ahem. You know, in the future, if you're going to steal cars, don't dress like a car thief, man." Car Thief: "Who are you? Are you a cop?" Spider-Man: "Really? You seriously think I'm a cop? Cop in a skin-tight red and blue suit?"
